I'm too late, but my guess would have been stickman by julia donaldson with his family in a Christmas scene with a tree and presents and such

I don't think we'll see EastEnders on Boxing Day or Sunday 27th. Also, I can't see them putting Mrs Brown's Boys as late as 10:30pm. It will start by 10pm at the latest with Sherlock at 8:30pm if both appear on NYD.

Do we have any idea of the films we might have for premiere's on BBC One/ITV this year? I'm guessing Brave and Wreck-It Ralph as the main BBC One films. I was expecting ITV to save The Hobbit for Christmas but they've already aired it earlier this year. I expect it will pop up again in the schedule though.

A massive round of applause to Claires_dad for the mammoth task of collating all the entries for the cover competition this year. It is getting bigger and bigger each year! I cant believe it is closed already! How damn fast is time flying? Only seems like a couple of weeks since I did the quiz! So, now we have around 10 days to wait until the cover is revealed and then the annual race to be first with getting their copy. I should warn you all, I work in a newsagent and this year on 5th December I am on the 4.30am start shift!!! We always get our half dozen copies of the London issue on the Saturday!!

EastEnders has aired on Boxing Day for years now. I cant envisage it not airing on the day this year. We will have to wait and see regarding the rest of your comments. I did at least, try to schedule all that has been announced so far.

Tragic! But who watches Channel 5 at Christmas anyway, it's even worse than during the rest of year. Wonder if they'll do a Christmas On Benefits or Can't Pay For Christmas, We'll Take It Away.

I second that, thank you Claires_dad! Safe to say this forum wouldn't be the same without your competition or the ultimate resource that is your website!

So although we will have a while until the cover is completely revealed, it seems from this webpage that we'll see a gradual reveal again from Friday onward: http://www.radiotimes.com/christmas-cover

Not sure how it'll work, whether they'll reveal two or three doors a day... Digging around the forums and news from last year, it looks as though last years reveal started on 2 Dec and was completed by the 5th.

As for bagging the first copy, unless I make a special trip north to intercept one of the trucks en route to Greater London area, I don't think I'll stand a chance!

Knowing my luck, my cocky smugness will backfire on me and we wont get those London copies after all! It is a fun race, but an unpredictable one!

Any idea when the Online version will be out for Christmas.

The weekly one is normally there when I wake up on a Tuesday.

Wonder if it will come online on 5 December or more around the 9

AT the bottom of that page it says the first Christmas issue was 1923 and here are our highlights of the past 89 years!!

Surely the masthead is not going to be in the middle of the cover

I was thinking of doing the Radio Times £1 subscription offer, but have a few questions (hope no-one minds me asking in here).

1) How quickly does the subscription begin (would I still be in time for the Christmas issue)?
2) Do you receive your copy on day of publication?

While it's a good deal for 10 issues, I do quite like walking to the shops to pick it up each week, so I'm umm'ing and aah'ing a little over it. I always buy two copies of the Christmas issue anyway - one to keep, and one to circle all the stuff I'm planning to watch or listen to (and then invariable keep that one too, so I have two copies of each Christmas issue now for the past decade or so ).

I took mine out on Friday 9th October, first issue under the subscription was the one issued on Tuesday 20th October (24-30th October issue)

So far I've received mine on publication day although they won't post out the Christmas Issue until Monday 7th December so don't expect it before Wednesday 9th December
