Maybe time for a refreshment on The Apprentice?
Obviously by now we've all heard the excruciatingly painful news that Nick Hewer is to leave The Apprentice after this Sunday's final. It's been a long journey for him and he says he struggles to keep up with the candidates as each year progresses which is understandable if you consider his old age. I'll miss him on the show, it will never be the same without him, ever. His witty remarks, his cheeky food tasting on catering tasks and of course who could forget his brilliant facial expressions? Nick leaving the show has got me thinking seriously about the future of The Apprentice. In my opinion, there's nobody who can replace him who will be anywhere near as enjoyable to watch and will be as well received as Nick was, at least not with Lord Sugar at the helm. As much as I like Lord Sugar I think this series should be his last too, also Karren. It sounds ridiculous but the cast has been the same for ages now, it's time for a refreshment. Each advisor and the main man should change. What do you think?

I was thinking this also - perhaps it's time for a total shake-up. New main man, new advisors, new boardroom, different tasks. This could either kill the show or totally rejuventate it

Are there any previous candidates/winners who would make a good replacement? I haven't watched every series of the show, so I'm not sure who I would recommend. Maybe someone entirely new to the process, a fresh face.

They could just lock them up in the house and Sugar (or replacement) could just talk to them via speakers and make them complete tasks, with one person getting evicted each week.
Oh hold on, that's Big Brother. |

The show needs to go back to the format where the prize is an actual job, the show is called 'the apprentice' not 'the business partner!' if Lord Sugar hasn't got anywhere for the apprentice winner to work anymore than find an entrepreneur who can.
Difficulty is finding someone who would make the role his own like Lord Sugar has, you need a big personality for the job. Peter Jones would probably be game for it but not sure he'd be a big enough character. Michael O'Leary would be an interesting one but he'd never do it! |

I'd like the editing to change. Tonight , for example, I would have liked to hear the candidates' answering more questions. The pitches were critical yet we saw very little of them. I also wish that You're Fired could be about the candidate, not unfunny Dara and his mates.
