I don't feel sympathy for anyone full stop.
I actually wanted Frankie and Kevin to win IN THE END.
But I am not unduly unhappy that she didn't win.
Philosophical really.
Regarding Kevin - his reply to all the critics will be pretty simple.
Two series, two finals, zero dance offs.
Say what you like about his partners etc.
That track record speaks for itself.
Where as this forum can deal in opinion he can trump it with facts.
And so he should.

It seemed a bit ... pointed that all through the final Kristina has been praised by the judges and well, everyone for her choreography and teaching and Kevin hasn't.

I congratulate Kevin, he did great, this year and last. All the finalists have a lot to feel proud about. Well done all but huge congrats to Caroline & Pasha who outshone everyone week after week.

Hes had two good partners though. It will be interesting to see if he gets a less able one next year how he gets on. I haven't got anything against him though.

Very well said! I agree

I don't. I am not a fan of his frantic, hurried style and think this years' showdance was as poor as last year. He was lucky to have two good celebs in a row. Might not be so lucky next time.

It is Frankie I fell sorry for, Kevin made the dances for him not her, hewas worse than an overgrown puppy

This.

I don't feel sorry for Kevin in the slightest, and I don't see how anyone could - he's reached two finals in two years, never had a dud partner and never been in a dance-off!

Kristina's worked her socks off for 7 years, more often than not with celebrities who were average at best. I haven't always been her biggest fan, but she's had a wonderful year, and she and Simon were unlucky not to win it.

Does how many years did Pasha try to win the Strictly. Anyone know?

That about sums it up. I wanted Caroline to win but if Simon had won I wouldn't have been unhappy.

He had a really good celeb but was to busy showboating his own talents he forgot about his celeb

plus he has got to start to realise we all dont like his funny little boy act

I dread to think what his sister will do if she gets a good celeb next year

By all things considered, he's had quite the plumb deal with Strictly. Two finals in a row, no bottom two appearances. So no I don't feel sorry for him on the show he's one of the few on there where he has nothing to worry about in renewing his contract next year. He'll do a Pasha I think.

This is his 4th year. 3rd final but first win.

Why on earth would I feel sorry for Kevin??? Two series, two trips to the final. What's there to be sorry about? He's far luckier than many other pros on the show.

No reason to think he won't be back next year and get another celeb with enough dance potential and vote support to make the final again.

Had he won, he probably would have gotten a duffer.

I don't particularly feel warm to Kevin. He's quite irritating and like others have said, he seems to showcase himself a lot which is a shame when he's had two good celebrities who were likely to do well no matter who they were paired up with.

But that being said, I'd rather wait to see who he gets next year before writing him off as a poor pro. I'd rather judge him after we can see what he'd do with a mid-pack player - not someone who is obviously a frontrunner, or obviously a lost cause from day 1. I think a pro really earns their stripes if they can take a poor dancer and mould them into a respectable dancer before their eliminated. To use another pro as an example, Natalie's runs with Ricky Whittle and Scott Maslen were obviously impressive, but I actually think it's maybe even more impressive that she took Michael Vaughn from scoring a 15 in Week 2, to scoring a 35 a few weeks before he went home. I'd like to see Kevin tested in that sort of fashion next year, because Frankie and Susanna were both clearly capable from the get-go.

Only for people who don't understand ballroom it didn't. I thought her routine showed any producers that she would be good enough to work in a West End musical. And she was the only one you could say that of from what they performed tonight.

Two series with finalists but never getting a 10 from Craig (IIRC ) In either series, even in the final

It would've been tougher on Pasha to be the runner-up for the third time. I suspect Kevin's time will come eventually, although maybe not next year.

You mistake me for someone who did not like Frankie - I thought she was great

He should stop upstaging his partner. Almost as bad as thrashing Aliona.

I don't feel sorry for him. He can look at Pasha and learn how a true pro should behave. His ego gains him no support. He is the worst kind of dance partner and can't see beyond himself. He would be better suited to going to America and working there. At best, a pro should equal their partner and not try to outshine them. Both Pasha and Aljaz can show him how that is done. I doubt he would be missed if he never appeared on SCD again.

I've enjoyed Frankie and Kevin all series, and felt the showdance Kevin created played perfectly to Frankie's strengths. Not everyone can do the lift-fest showdances that seems to have become the "norm" these days. Throughout the series, Frankie showed (and even said) she was neither good at nor comfortable with lifts. So Kevin wisely put together an old-style Hollywood number with lots of lovely in-hold ballroom and some side-by-side jazzy elements to give it snap and pizzazz and just one easy lift at the end.

I wasn't under the impression that any of the finalists were trying to audition for West End producers with their showdance.

That said, I appreciated that both Kevin and Pasha chose to choreograph routines that were about more than doing lifts for the sake of doing lifts. Of the four showdances we saw, I preferred these two.

I can't say I'm a huge fan. There's better talent out there, it seems his success is almost entirely down to him actually having a personality (albeit one that personally I find rather grating).

Of all the finalists, Frankie had improved the least and although it's true she started at a high level, I would still argue that he failed to get much out of her that can't be attributed to her basic talent and the repetition of practice. Her footwork for example never improved and remained clumsy throughout, although the judges stopped mentioning it.

What really irritated me however, was his reaction to any criticism towards his choreography or Frankies performance.
