You know how some comic bundles on eBay are described as coming from a smoke-free household. Well the bunch I got smell like they came from a large family whose sole mission in life was to smoke themselves to death. My lungs feel like they're blacken right now, and the culprits are in the other room, bagged and boarded.
So my question goes out to all you comic collectors. Any way to de-smell these comics ? - and no, I won't be spraying them with Febreeze.

Had this issue with clothes and putting them in a bag with clean cat litter took a lot of the smell away. Don't know if it would work on magazines etc without harming them though.

No cat litter to hand but your suggestion did nudge me to do an eBay search for odor absorbers, of which there are many, so I might have just found the way to go. :yay: - next time I'll make sure to by NM ones.

Those charcoal things for fridges. Very cheap.

Place comics in a bin bag with them. Seal the bag, leave for weeks.
