Pixie, Frankie and Simon were the 3 best celeb dancers for me. I'd have them all a good bit in front of Caroline, who for me was 4th best.

Simon was by far the best male dancer. Think Pixie and Caroline were the best of the women, with Frankie a close third overall.

The best three dancers were the three in the final, and then Pixie would rank 4th, followed by Mark and then Jake. Simon was the best male dancer by miles and his Latin technique was better than Pixie's and Frankie's, and his ballroom equally as good as theirs. Plus he came from a much lower starting point and created far more memorable routines.

Absolutely, they were just in another league to the others! Pixie was absolutely incredible she just had something special, she could pretty much nail any dance. As far as ringers are concerned she had something that none of the others had. I found all of Natalie performancequite boring as they all felt emotionless and she always pulled annoying faces.
Frankie was very classy and she had a similar ballroom vibe to Sophie, very sophisticated!
Caroline gave every dance 100 percent and never held back she was so emotionally connected to each dance and she had a drive and passion which was absent in many other contestants!!

I'd personally rank it Caroline, Pixie, Frankie, Jake, Simon, Mark, but it's something we're never all going to agree on. In any case, I think we've had a great series with a lot of impressive celebrities.

Wasn't he in the bottom 2 three times though? That sort of contradicts your argument don't you think? Don't get me wrong, I voted for him in the final (on his AT) but I really don't think he was better than Pixie or the other two girls taken as an overall judgement.

Didn't she just win though? You have to ask yourself what everyone who voted for her (a huge amount, I'd imagine) saw in her that you didn't. Perhaps you are comfortable being in the minority?

Yes, I'm comfortable being in the minority (if indeed I am in the minority on this), just as I would be comfortable being in the majority. It's called having your own mind and forming your own opinion. Not a bad thing I would have thought.

The best dancer doesn't always win SCD. Otherwise I doubt Chris Hollins would have won SCD6. I can also perfectly tolerate other people rating Caroline higher than I do.

I think the girls had it again this year. Simon did magnificently and had the best "journey" and Mark did himself and Strictly absolutely proud with his enthusiasm and attitude. Pixie Caroline and Frankie all could have won it though.

I suspect had Pixie made the Final (as she deserved to) Caroline's winning margin would have been even greater - because Pixie would have been faced with the same problem Natalie faced last year.

But for me Caroline has been the best dancer overall this year.

She lacked the beautifully fluid footwork of Pixie and Frankie, but absolutely nailed dances which didn't play to the other girls' strengths such as the Samba and Cha Cha Cha.

Pixie's Samba was undoubtedly packed with quality. But as with her Cha Cha Cha and Rumba, her footwork wasn't precise enough.

However she did try to use her arms properly, something rarely seen in Frankie's routines. I don't think Frankie and Kevin did themselves any favours by choosing for the Final a routine loaded with skirt-wafting.

Most importantly of all, Caroline had a strong performance element which engaged the viewer.

Only Jake bettered her in that department. But he lacked the dexterity to mount a serious challenge. I'd have placed Simon fourth behind the three girls.

Sorry, I might have misunderstood your post slightly as you said that Simon was the best male celebrity by miles and that he had better Latin technique than Pixie. That came across to me as if you were stating fact rather than passing an opinion. My mistake.

My thoughts -

* By the final I think Caroline was the strongest female and Simon was the strongest male.

* Pixie had better technique, but Frankie was the more consistent dancer.

* Mark was a better dancer than his performances tonight showed.

* Mark was a better dancer than Jake, but Jake was the better performer.

People shouldn't confuse best dancer with favourite dancer.

Pixie, then Caroline, Simon third. So gutted Pixie didn't make the final. She had an effortless angelic quality. Her and Trent were heavenly together. The had th X Factor.

Frankie's is one of the best ballroom dancer's Strictly has ever had technically.

Yes I agree it's such a shame Pixie never made the final I think it would have been such an exciting final with Pixie in it instead of Mark.

You can argue that Pixie possibly deserved to be top three but Simon behind Jake and Mark? - pfffttttt...

I'd argue that Caroline was definitely a top three placer and the other two over the series would come from Frankie, Simon and Pixie. (Actually, I think Pixie's probably a cert as well.)

Yeah the three ladies were overall the best dancers of this series, although Simon has certainly proven to be up there with them. I do think Pixie and Caroline were the best this series. Simon was easily the best male although Jake and Mark are both really good.

Frankie has been consistently good but seldom breathtaking in her performances.

Last night Simon showed that he had overtaken Frankie as a dancer. So from this series Caroline, Simon and Pixie were the best dancers.

Mark seemed to have gone backwards last night.

The best 3 were Pixie, Simon and Caroline. Frankie sucked at latin.
