I know the BBC never release voting stats (don't understand why) but anyone know who got more votes / who came 2nd?

No. And we won't find out.

I think out of courtesy / people spending money actually voting the BBC should say / release voting stats.

ITV do it for X Factor and I'm A Celeb.

I don't think they ever reveal it. (I know they havent the last two years)

It's a petty little bug-bear of mine. We're left saying that they tie for second place, but it could in theory be that - lets say - Frankie was one vote behind Caroline, while Simon was a million votes behind. There's no way they had exactly the same votes, so I'd like to know.

I agree with you 100 per cent.

Of course I don't know the results, I will just say I favoured Frankie for the first half then transferred my favours to Simon.

I found Simon weirdly empathetic - you sensed he needed this more than the others.

Happy for Caroline to win in the end

I would think based on performance that Simon would have come second. Frankie was the weakest and most bland performance

I wonder why they made the decision to stop having a 2nd place finalist, they did up to 2012 according to Wikipedia. It seems rather silly that they stopped revealing 2nd and 3rd places.

It was definitely Simon at our party "it wuz da Tango wot wun it!".

The guests who rarely watch SCD were completely wowed by his final dance and it received the highest marks of the evening. Interestingly though, none of the dancers received a 10 from the guests who rarely watch SCD.

ITV doesn't consider the information commercially sensitive because it's shareholders want to see them making a healthy profit from voting. That's not the case with the BBC.

Having just watched the interview from last night (didn't realise it was on iplayer), and after the main show I'm thinking Frankie was 3rd place and Simon 2nd. I think this because they interviewed Mark, Frankie and then Simon in that order both times as though it was 4th, 3rd, 2nd if you know what I mean. It's as though the Beeb are trying to tell us without actually telling us the placements.

I think you are reading far too much into it.

I really think that Simon came 2nd; That Final AT really gave him a huge edge .

All polls indicated both boys together had circa 10% of the vote, they were both very close. Caroline in most polls was way ahead some polls up to 60%. Frankie's polls varied I have seen anything from 20% to 40% for her , Aldo on facebook likes of their dances the boys were well behind and Frankie was in second.

So in voting it would be safe to say Frankie was second. She was the only person who had any chance of beating Caroline.

The thing about the polls is that you can only vote once so it isn't very accurate. Some people only vote on phones once, some numerous times as well as online. There are some who would have voted many times for Frankie in the first half that perhaps voted for Simon's AT in the second half. I've asked some at work, I work at a college and there are many dance teachers and students (obviously) and some said they voted on the dance rather than the dancers.

I have asked a journo if he can try to find out the percentages as he did a few years ago and he said he would try... here's hoping

It had to be Simon.
I hate that we never know who is 2nd and 3rd now.

Neither of them won so I don't see that it really matters.
It's like arguing the toss about who won a consolation prize lollipop. Futile and not important.
I voted for Frankie but accept with good grace it was not her night. The glitterball and the honours go to Caroline.
It was her night and her glory.
Who finishes second is an utter irrelevance imo.

And both can legitimately say they were runners up rather than coming fourth.

Just take it as being like an open ended film and make up your own ending.

Like most people would, I'm making up a happy ending, which for me is that Simon came second. Frankie fans can have a different ending and this way everybody is happy!

Like others have said, it doesn't matter what position Simon and Frankie finished in. As far as am concerned, I'm very happy that Simon finished in the top 3. Even though, Simon and Frankie didn't win, they made the top 3, which is a brilliant achievement. Also, I think that the BBC might take the view that, Mark was 3rd and Simon & Frankie were joint runners up, despite the number of votes.
