I was thinking him but he presents a Radio 1 show every Sunday 4-7pm. Might mess a bit with continuity if they want to make it appear the Sunday results show is live.

Richard Wisker
Naomi Wilkinson
Barney Harwood

Mel's up for it. She told me.

I can't see Anthea Turner being in this years line up - she's done quite a few reality TV shows in the last few years, including recently DOI where she didn't last long - I know she generates quite a lot of press but I think she's one of these personalties who is forever going to be associated by the memories of negative press about her private life, even though it's in her past.

They've already got Katie Derham and with the strong possibility of Kirsty Gallacher - I don't think they need another female presenter. Perhaps they might have Anthea in a future line up especially if they lift their seeming ban on former DOI contestants, but I doubt it'll be this year.

I am referring to upstairs in the forum way. Upstairs is the "Games" section and I was saying that Katie Derham would more likely to feature on a Strictly game than actually compete on the real thing. This mirrors Kellie who was a celeb on "Strictly DDDDD" is now a celeb on the actual Strictly. I hope I made sense

Didn't Willie Thorne in 2007 do commentary on BBC2 for the snooker at the same time he was on the results show?

Surprised about Katie being on the show. I would love the CTM star to be Jenny Agguter.

And what about Strictly

As for the announcements, I would expect at least two fit blokes (30 years or under) and a younger woman. And two 50+ women and one older man (60+). The rest will probably be in the 35-45 range.

Wouldn't we all?

Luckily for me, Alijaz fills my swooning quota. I'm really not fussed about any more "hunks" - especially considering that the "hunk" slot has, in the past been filled by Gavin Henson, Mark Wright and Thom Evans ( boak, boak and double boak ).
I'd much rather have a non-hunk with a personality, who's up for a laugh and actually goes for it properly.

I think Peter Andre, Jamelia, Kirsty Gallacher and Richard Madeley are all highly likely at this point.
I think we are going to have lots of surprises out of the remaining 11 Though - at least 5.

How great would Mel and Sue be though?”

They would be beyond fantastic.
I'd love them to do it.

Jenny Agutter is a brilliant call - I love her.
I was wondering if the CTM rumour was a bit of a red herring, and it would be one of the male stars rather than a more obvious female one?

Richard Wisker
Naomi Wilkinson
Barney Harwood”

Barney is on my official guess list for this series. So far, I have 0/5 correct.

Last series I got 2/15, which remains my best result in over 5 years of guesses.

What about Sam and Mark? They are a famous CBBC duo. Even though Sam has just done Masterchef.

Both have been on doi as well though & I don't think they will be having celebrities from doi

Just to reiterate - the "famous duo" rumour was a total fabrication.

Katie Derham introduced the Proms programme tonight as 'Strictly the Proms' 😀😀💃💃 I'm very happy with the line up so far, and if Stephen McGann or the guy who played the curate in CTM is in, its Strictly Heaven and I'll forgive the inclusion of The Andre 😉💃💃

I love this idea, in my book he's far better looking than Peter Andre.

I wonder if the person who is leaving Casualty tonight is a possibility for Strictly?

Wasn't it posted by a forum member? Why would they make that up

(Still hoping for Eamonn and Ruth)

Two Main famous Duos are doing the rounds on this.....

Richard and Judy.

And...

Having done a Christmas special...

Torville and Dean.

Pleased with Katie Derham.

She seems to be genuinely honoured to be asked and, as such, I think she will throw herself fully into it. A good one for Anton I think...

Torvill and Dean would be great! What are they up to these days?

Suzanne Packer leaves Casualty next week - she's Colin Jackson's cousin.

I don't imagine they'd have 2 Casualty characters in one series.

Didn't Torvill and Dean just do the charity thing for children in need, just against each other?

And as for Richard and Judy hasn't it been said that Judy requires a walking stick to get around now and she also said recently she banned Richard from doing it.
The whole duo rumour was just a massive lie so I very much doubt there will be a duo on the show

I am wondering if the Katie Derham announcement was going to be "Live" at the Proms, in a Live concert.
Orchestra starts playing Strictly theme during warmup or something.
That would make it so easy to leak out as the whole orchestra would have to know

I am LOVING the lineup so far - no OK or Hello types so far - and no one who has been retired since before the younger contestants were born.
