I think Ola's partner will depend on how her knee rehab is going as much as anything else. Pairing her with someone who looks likely to last the vast majority of the series would be a big strain on a knee that's not fully fit.

With respect.........all I have to say is this.
If she's not 'match ready' she has absolutely no right to be there.
I was disappointed in the Beeb anyway when they offered her a contract.
Sorry she had an injury and all that but greed for money got her injured in the first place.

I'm not saying I disagree - but there she is and there is a difference between being match fit for steering a John Sargent-alike round for a couple of weeks and doing a full stint with the likes of a Louis Smith - and I'd rather a male celeb with potential be paired with someone who is completely there and focused.

I was going to say he would be wrapped up with big brother but the celebrity version usually finishes before the live shows plus Strictly and Big Brother are filmed in Elstree studios. I think he could actually do quite well not just being a 'comedy camp' celeb

Whilst I do get the point you are making, I am firmly against any allowances being made for the pro dancers. If they cannot do it, they shouldn't be there.
Ola is contracted to dance/teach.

Didn't 'know' RC from X-Factor but he came over (imho at least) as very likeable in CBB and CMC.

After watching him on Masterchef I thought I would actually like to see him on Strictly. He seems like a genuinely nice guy and, although he acted the comedy up a bit for the cameras, he applied himself and learned things really quickly. I think he could be a great student and do well as long as they didn't push him into the comedy camp pigeonhole.

I think Ola will get a duffer after Ashley/Steve and her knee injury, and Kristina will probably get someone the public are all supposed to get behind and love a la Russell Grant/Lisa Riley.

If that was the case, then don't you think that it would have been easier not to offer her a contract for this year? The fact that they took her back on despite those comments and despite the issues around her injury last year seem to indicate that the BBC does not see it the same way.
Jenny Jones the snowboarder is following Strictly on Twitter. Don't know if that's significant or not. She may just be a fan on the show. Mark Hunter the rower is following Brendan Cole on Twitter. I liked him on Masterchef a lot. I think he'd be a good contestant if he has some dance talent. Otherwise the comedy and parody might be too much!

The rumour started because of what Jack said while filming A League of their Own, a sports show Jack is on with Jamie. He must have joked about it because Claudia was on too, but the journalist in the audience thought he was serious, may have made up the Claudia looking annoying thing too
