does Madonna sell out like she used to???

I am just curious because I remember in 2012 my sister booked me tickets for her Edinburgh Murrayfield concert in the July and I really wasn't getting my hopes up because people were saying they were going to be like 'gold dust' and all that. my sister was on the phone for like 20 mins and got them no bother. Then in the May/June I heard there was still LOADS of tickets still left.

im curious as next year shes apparently touring again and even though Im not a massive fan, if she plays arenas and does the SSE Hydro in Glasgow, I would kind of want to experience her in an indoor setting. But what im wondering is did that Murrayfield gig not sell out because it was the middle of the summer and most people are away on holiday or was it that Madonna isn't that popular anymore?

According to Wikipedia, that show sold out.

According to wiki she seems to break her own records every time for highest grossing female performer. I've never seen her live and really wanna see her next year too. Believe she can charge over the top ticket prices though.

I went to Hyde park and it was awful - quite cheap for her - but awful sound and no atmosphere because it was so light. Easy to get tickets too.

Might be more difficult getting arena tickets (if she does any - as I think she prefers the easy one-stop shop) but definitely worth the extra expense and effort.

None of the 2012 tour dates sold out in the UK.

I wouldn't get your hopes up for the hydro, murrayfield was her first concert in Scotland. If there is a Scottish date it's more likely to be Hampden but I also would not get your hopes up for that either. I heard her say at murrayfield she didn't like the cold and this was mid afternoon during rehearsals. So I don't think she was impressed by the Scottish climate or drizzle.

It's impossible to predict but I'm not convinced there will be UK dates until 2016, i'm thinking North and South American next September- December. Europe by early summer 2016.

I would love a hydro show, I could walk and have a wee drink before the show without worrying about driving or transport.

im sorry but that would be the most stupidest reason for her to miss Scotland. im sure shes been to much colder countries and also if she can do the O2 I don't see why she cant do the Hydro when it was built specifically for people like her

Why? It's not like she needs money. She moaned several times that it was too cold and she cut the set short by missing Like A Virgin and I'm Addicted. Why go back when if she didn't like it? Murrayfield did not sell out, despite radio promo from real radio and massive price cuts from ticketmaster just days before the concert.

The capacity of the hydro is not much bigger than SECC so why didn't she play there in the past. Madonna in Europe rarely plays arenas it is mostly stadium gigs indeed there was no MDNA O2 concert only Hyde Park. Birmingham was the only arena in the UK for MDNA and that was only thrown in at the last minute because second dates for Hyde Park and Murrayfield were not necessary do to the first dates not selling out.

O2 had only hosted 2 Madonna concerts and that was second leg of Sticky and Sweet. The Hydro was not built for acts like Madonna, it was built to make a profit by hosting concerts it does not matter to the The Hydro who plays there. I'm not saying she will not play Hydro, I'm offering my opinion that she won't.
