Thom Evans

Thought Thom looked hot with his beard last night.
Might have gained a few more votes if he had grown it earlier as he was looked too "pretty" before and definitely went out early

He did go out far too early.

There was definitely some more mileage in Tham. Liked his partnership with Iveta. He was unfortunate to land in the dance off when he did.

It was the right time for him to go.

I think he should've stayed longer than Allison and Judy.

Maybe so, but still he would never have made it to even the semi finals.

I wonder if things might have been different if he was partnered with Natalie

Probably, she would have gotten some excellent ballroom out of him - one way or another!

can't remember anything about him, except that excruciating stripper/sailor suit.

I'd have said,. when he went out, he and Simon were at about the same level and good
at the same sort of dances, so who knows? He might have been a finalist or crashed and burned. We will never know.

He definitely went out far too early. He was at about the same level as Steve and Mark at one point and any of them could have gone out early, with any of them staying until the semis.

Even when Simon was having a bad week e.g. rumba, some of Thom's dances were better than Simon's.

He went out early in my opinion because he didn't display a great deal of personality. Iveta was bubbly, warm and vivacious in their interviews, but he seemed like a bit of a cold fish towards the end.

When I saw that he was in this year's line up I assumed he would be a contender, but he seemed almost disinterested, or perhaps not as bright as I thought he was.

A lot of the celebs were doing other work as well as SCD and yet they seemed much more committed.

I am afraid his lack of personality and apparent lack of interest stopped me voting for him and I was tempted..........................., just to see Iveta dance for a few more weeks.

Most definitely. It was an unfortunate pairing. Thom was an unknown and a bit bland in amongst the good and the bad. Iveta is not a broader public favourite. Recipe for early exit. If they wanted him to stay longer he needed to be paired with a familiar/ likable professional. Natalie would have suited Thom far more.

Natalie always seems to get the complete no-hopers though. They could at least give her someone who's likely to be in the middle of the pack.

Strangely, I was thinking exactly the opposite the week before, that if Tim had someone who could play on his personality (say like Iveta with Mark a year earlier), he wouldn't have gone so early.

Tim came across as deluded and a bit iffy which was never going to get him too far. Surprised he got as far as he did. He was a typical first week leaver and suspect he would have been had he not been paired with Natalie.

I would like to have seen more of 'Tham' to see how much he might have improved.

Ideally I would have liked to see him on the show longer than Judy - but it's not an ideal world.

Actually, I found him the opposite - seemed a bit cold to begin with, but was starting to warm up and come out his shell towards the end of his time. Would have liked to have seen what another couple of weeks would have done for him, anyway.

I think he went simply because most people didn't know who he was.
Yes he went too early but he never had the public backing that people like Judy had.

He went out too early. I can not believe Judy and Alison stayed for longer than him.

I agree, I mean, before he came in, I didn't know who he was!

Do you think he wakes up at night in a cold sweat after dreaming "Tham! Tham! Pick your feet ap!" ?

Neither Natalie nor Iveta have a great record with the public vote. If you wanted Thom partnered wth someone who could protect him in that sense then IMO you'd have a better bet looking at Ola or even Joanne.
