Nicole Scherzinger, Why do you do it?

Oh gosh, I actually really like Nicole.

I just get really annoyed at her single releases, I mean she could actually do so well in todays charts if she had the right music. Your Love was a goodish song, but it just needed that more dance beat. It's like what Cheryl's I Don't Care needed to be lyricwise and what Your Love needed to be beat wise.

I recently find a song she did with Alex Gaudino, and I can tell you this is actually a catchy song. It could of been massive. - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1qf91PKPYOw I know it's not the best, but Nicole needs to go on this route. It kinda annoys me this didn't get a wider release as like I said, It's a great summer song. I think it pretty much shows Nicole didn't have much involvement. which is a shame,

I mean I like On The Rocks, but for a single? NO. It sounds more like a Movie Soundtrack song. and Movie Soundtrack songs sadly don't make the top ten theses days unless it's Disney, Than Run, I love Run too, but as a single choice? def no. Everyone knows Ballard's fail these days unless your Adele you have no chance. I just want that dancey Nicole back. Everything's so depressing from her. LET IT GO GIRL

I dont think she'd get airplay regardless of how good the song is anyway tbh.........

She would, but her songs are sh.t, On The Rocks and Run are not Radio playable. I wouldn't even play them on my radio show, there good, but boring songs.

The best song she ever released is Poison, backed with that incredible X Factor performance. She was robbed of #1. Pretty much everything she has released since has been quite plain and not particularly memorable.

Having said that, Your Love was pretty good. Not sure why that got ignored by radio.

Her music is a problem, but I think that more than that the problem is her promo. Everything always just seems so unorganised with her. She needs to annouce a single, preview it, release it, then release the video, then release date, start doing promo etc. Before she performed on X Factor a few weeks ago, I had never even heard of that song or knew that she was releasing a single. When she released Poison and Don't Hold Your Breath, things were a lot more organised and were done properly.

I agree. The only pop star these days who seems to have any organisation with their campaigns is Katy Perry. Who incidentally is one of the only popstars who is able to get a string of charting singles from each album. What does that tell you!

If Nicole Scherzinger wants to have success with her singles, releasing great songs would be a start.

Your Love was average at best. Ok, so the die hard fans will say it was the second coming and that's fine. To achieve real success a song needs to reach far beyond the loyal fan base who get the song high up the charts. Problem is, when everyone buys the song in its first week who is left to buy it in week 2, week 5, week 10. By this point the song has well and truly been and gone.

For me, Run was the song that killed all the momentum. She sang it on X Factor one week and it was one of the dullest songs I've heard all year. It just simply doesn't go anywhere and you could be the best singer in the world, but the fact remains you can't polish a turd. Run is a steaming pile of zzzzzzz!!! that has no redeeming features. I'm sure most die hard Nicole fans would struggle to remember how the song goes without having to play it first.

I'll admit I've not even heard On The Rocks. It probably is better than Your Love and Run put together. If so, why make it single #3 following one of the most forgettable songs I'll ever hear?

When record companies get it right, they get it spot on. Like glyn9799 mentioned above, Katy Perry has the ability to sell albums but also sell singles. I just think if the music can stand by itself, the success will follow. A non-song will not garner much interest in the long run.
