Sapphire
http://www.engadget.com/2014/09/02/k...pphire-screen/
Well that sapphire screened Kyocera sounds good, I read the reviews. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/cr/B00M782056/ Whilst the rigid phone with raised bezel looks designed to allow for the extra screen brittleness, it seems still not quite what it is cracked up to be. So much for ''"Sapphire crystal is an incredibly tough, high quality material and this makes it perfect for luxury mobile phone screens. It is virtually impossible to damage and it will maintain a perfect, scratch free finish for many years" bigging up by so called analysts ? |

Here is another one, the Huawei P7 Sapphire Edition
http://consumer.huawei.com/en/press/news/hw-366555.htm http://www.engadget.com/2014/09/05/h...tion-hands-on/ There seem to be no proper user reviews around to tell you it is still brittle. |

Alternatively, people could just do what I do and, I dunno, not drop their phones in the first place?
Quite a radical idea, I know. I'm not sure it'll catch on. |

Quite a radical idea, I know. I'm not sure it'll catch on. I've had my Nexus 5 for about a year, and I put a plastic screen protector on it just incase and that thing is immaculate. A year and the plastic doesn't even have a mark let alone the much harder glass. |
