Not that it's any of your business, as he's already answered my post, but he actually did.

Maybe wind your neck in a little, the post was made and subsequently answered by Daveoc64.

I completely refute that.

I'm not going to cancel a service that works for me because it doesn't work for others - even if that is due to Three changing its plans and not being clear about it on their website.

My point is simple - coverage is a personal matter. I get good coverage in the places I need it - in particular, I get 4G on the way into work and while I'm at work.

So, using the more polite term the other poster used, you are saying "I'm alright Jack, sod you lot".

You refute it, and then say it again .

I'm considering leaving Three in January too. My One Plan is up and although it's been value for money we've had issues with the local transmitter throughout the year, and living in a rural area I liked the 2G fallback with data too. This is probably worth the extra £5 I would pay with EE. I'm not a big fan of EE but there are many advantages to returning with them.

He has a very good point. Why should he care about anyone else's signal?

Quite.

I can't get a good signal on O2 or Vodafone at work.

Would everyone on those networks (and all the MVNOs) please leave?

Ridiculous.

I understand why people would decide Three is not the network for them anymore, but I wouldn't expect them to try and impose that on everyone else.

I will be jumping ship from three when my contract is up. I don't use anywhere near the data I did a while back although the majority of mobile data is when I tether my tablet every other saturday. This is usually slighty over 5gb so when the one plan ends I'll be above the new 4gb limit.

The main problem with 3 is that it's distinctly patchy in places for even voice calling, I can get 10mb data standing in a field 10miles outside belfast, but cannot make a voice call indoors a mile from the city centre.

I have poor coverage in my house and was previously offered a home signal box which I turned down, opting to use Three In Touch while it was in beta as I was told the signal problems in my area would be fixed in about a month.

Three just quotes dates, the dates come, nothing happens. The signal in my area has not changed, if anything it's worse. I told them I'd like to take them up on their offer of a home signal box today, they told me that the criteria for getting one has changed and I must upgrade my contract to be eligible to get one. I'm on the £12.90 1 month rolling 200 mins/5000texts/ayce data. By "upgrading", I'd be locked into a 12 month contract, paying more money for the same allowances. How about no.

A few months back they were happy to give me a home signal box and it wasn't even this bad. Now I'm dropping to no signal pretty often, the network is extremely congested and data speeds are extremely poor. EE in the same spot gives me around 25mpbs 4G or 6-8mbps 3G. On Three I'm lucky to get 5mbps 4G and 1mbps 3G.

I don't mind the 5mpbs 4G, but the signal is too poor to stay connected. Maybe 800MHz will fix this, but how long will we have to wait?

800MHz will likely begin rollout in January and I can feel a lot of new sites being turned on in January too.

Although they lied to me again for the 3rd year in a row about a new mast in my area going live on 15th December. Im sick of this date now.

I wont be moving to EE though, i'll be sticking with Three as EE's customer service is the worst I've ever dealt with.

I'd not heard anything about them stopping grandfather plans until coming on here.

I'm on the One Plan, due to run out next month. I haven't received a text, or a call from 3 telling me that I'll be moved off this tariff.

Will it happen automatically?

How many times do you have to call CS for a phone company? I tend to call them only twice. Once to port my number in at the start and once to port out at the end?

Most companies have a decent webchat presence now anyway - I used Three's to port out and Vodafones to get a few bits and pieces of account/plan setup done. Both were completely painless. Haven't called anyone in ages.

Haha they give the same dates to everybody I think. I remember last year being told that everything would be fixed on that date. I've got a feeling they have set lies they give to everybody so that they're consistent.

Was just on the phone to CS about my ongoing network issues, heard loud cheering and clapping in the background. Sounds like they are having a party in the call centre.

I would just say Q1 for 800MHz to avoid disappointment. But it'll certainly be early 2015.

And it's weird how that mast still hasn't been switched on. The information I gave you was accurate for the time so not entirely sure what happened there and I doubt we'll ever know the real answer.

Ah ok haha.

This one time I called customer service for my bank and there was a fire alarm going off in the background......

Turned out to be a test thankfully!

That would be remarkably unprofessional.

It sounds like something that Welsh idiot with the BBC TV program would do, Nev somebody?

Three said on their blog, once they've contacted a customer about the phasing out of the old plans, you have 60 days to decide what to do, and if they don't hear from you, they'll move you onto a 1 month SIM Only plan.

It's not a party. Usually they'll do things to raise moral in a call centre. A shout out for a big sale or perhaps a colleague being awarded.

Let them have fun haha.

At the end of the day you've got someone giving you their attention at the other end of the phone.

I worked in a call centre for a while and it was always impressed on the staff to behave properly in earshot of the phones, there were meeting rooms and lounges for meetings, parties or celebrations.

You're right. Lets fire all of them.

First thing tomorrow we'll go there and sack them all on the spot.
