Unfortunately, it's the least I've looked forward to an episode in a long time.

I always aim to watch live, but this is going on Sky+ to watch sometime in the coming week.

Moffat's Christmas episodes are dire. I say this as a Moffat fanboy.

Roll on Series 9.

Merry Christmas and a happy Whoday fellow posters! Really don't know what we're going to get this evening but looking forward to it. Fairly early start so shouldn't be too sloshed.

Merry Christmas everyone. I hope this Christmas Day episode will be a cracker, like Voyage Of The Damned.

By the way, next Christmas - 2015 - will be the 50th Anniversary since the first Christmas Day episode. Now that will have to be very extra special...

Cant wait,such anticipation!

And whatever religion you belong to, this season is a festival of Light...so may you have lots of enlightenment today...and not just from Doctor Who!

Merry Christmas to all on here (or happy Yule, according to taste).

I am really looking forward to this year's Christmas special.... I'm a big Nick Frost fan. Trailers look good. Whatever happens, it can never be as bad as The Doctor in Narnia...can it?

Won't be back on here till Boxing Day - looking forward to reading all the comments.

Enjoy your day, everyone.

Difficult one for me today. I am going round to my brothers and we never have the telly on there and I am out all day tomorrow so its likely I will watch until Saturday. Avoiding spoilers will be next to impossible. I won't be able to avoid news of if she has gone, Clara's departure. Just have to avoid forums and newspapers then although I am sure someone will say something tomorrow. "Did you see doctor......."

That's sad. (In the true sense.)

You may not be a fan of Moffat but how will you avoid spoilers? It would be like not watching the World Cup Final (or something similarly widely talked about) and expecting to enjoy it 'unspoiled' at a time of your own choosing.

Hi all!

I don't normally comment while watching as I usually end up having to pause then I'm behind, but will be watching and commenting tonight. I hope Clara leaves as I really don't like her.

Just watched Star Trek: Into Darkness with two former Doctor Who guest stars (Noel Clarke and Simon Pegg). Terrific film - Last Christmas will have to go some tonight...

Would have been even better without Star Trek in it's title Somebody call Jonathan Frakes!

( Not just to guest star in Doctor Who )

There's a third former Doctor Who guest star - Deep Roy. Can Steven M. persuade Chris Pine or Zack Quinto to make a guest appearance for us?

Oookay....time to grab another drink, bite to eat and then it's Who time. Amazing to think it's a whole year since I reluctantly said goodbye to Matt. It was emotional. Expectations don't appear to be sky high this year...but the proof of the Christmas pudding......

Good luck everyone. Be back to see the reaction. Pleasant delight? Vehement vitriol? Well, whatever, it's always interesting!

I would say that this looks like it's going to be awful, but the reviews have been so good that my hopes are actually really high for this. Still hoping Clara's going to die, though.
