I'm so glad Clara hasn't left Doctor Who...
I really thought Clara was leaving in today's episode but I'm over the moon that Clara is staying in Doctor Who.. For now
![]() I do think the next series will be Jenna Coleman's last series though. Thoughts?

I'm glad she's staying too. Jenna is fantastic actress, however the material she's been given hasn't really given her a chance to shine! She's made this season of Doctor Who a lot more bearable to watch as I'm not entirely sold on Capaldi.

Me too, I'm personally pleased Clara is staying for a while. Steven Moffat has confirmed that Clara will stay for a whole series when it returns next year.
Moffat said: “Jenna is obviously in all of next series. It is exciting. I thought I was good at winding people, but Jenna outplayed me." Source: http://www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/d...taying-4874670 |

If she is staying then I hope to hell they will stop leading us on to think she's leaving. On that note, this would have been an excellent episode for her to go, up until the last five minutes anyway.
The joke has definitely reached its end so far as I'm concerned and if they don't draw a line under it in the series then I will be completely fed up with them. |

The trouble is, when she eventually does leave it'll feel underwhelming IMO because they've teased her exit several times now. Kinda shot themselves in the foot here methinks.

When The Doctor arrived and you could see her hair was lighter under the dream crab and I did expect her to be older and decide to let The Doctor and ultimately her addiction go. But the rug pull made sense to me especially if you wanted to leave the belief that Santa was real. Not necessarily Mondas, if they go for a shock exit say in episode 11 (which ultimately would mean tragic) then you may not be underwhelmed because it would have happened when you didn't expect it. |

I too am delighted she's staying. Jenna Coleman is gorgeous and I'm loving the feisty relationship that's developed between Clara and Capaldi's Doctor. They can't live with each other, they can't live without.

Jenna is a fantastically talented actress, especially as Clara is not now that likeable a character.

Does that include Amy's 'Time of the Doctor' cameo and will Oswin's 'Asylum of the Daleks' appearance count too?

That's why I said IMO - I was just stating my own personal opinion. Getting somewhat fed up with the character now. When she was the 'Impossible Girl' I found her more intriguing. However, ever since she became 'normal' she's continued to grate on me with her lying and selfish behaviour.
IMO. ![]() It's nice to have a difference of opinion and not have it turn into an argument ![]() Hope you and everyone else on DS are having a great Christmas. |

Very pleased she is staying as well. She is a fantastic companion and her and Capaldi work very well together, will be nice to see another series with them together.

I suspect she won't be pleased if she encounters Missy upon her return.

I'm glad I didn't know whether she was staying or going at the end of this episode. It kind of added an air of mystery to it and Clara being old at the end could have been it.
I'm glad she's staying though, let her character develop more, past the Danny Pink part of her life. I hope they don't constantly bring him up. I don't think they will with the 'think of me for only 5 minutes a day' line. It kinds of puts a line under his story and adds believability. Clara won't forget him but won't constantly bring him up. |

Jenna's not Lis. No-one can be. But she's good. (Tate was too). There's a real potential for a 4/Sarah gold era with 12/Clara but I just don't think it's quite got there... although Mathieson's two episodes showed a glimpse.

I like her too. I hope she will show her best not being lumbered with that irritant Danny Pink and their 10 minute recurring argument every episode.

I'm also glad Clara is staying as Jenna is a wonderful actress & an asset to the show. If she had left at the end of the Christmas episode, I would have felt cheated as there are too many open questions to resolve such as how can Danny Pink's have a grandson who is also Clara's grandson? I know time can be rewritten, (when it suits the plot), but I feel there's more of Danny still to come. Can't believe I'm saying that as I'm certainly not a fan of his character.
