Samsung smart tv (f7000) deleted Freeview PVR recordings still on HDD?

Press guide - yellow - recordings - delete recording A

Now press Smart Hub - select 'photos, videos, music' - select 'Recorded TV' - select HDD - select month 'Recording A' is In

As you can see, it's still there and still PLAYABLE! Also, as off 12/2014 recordings are there from Sep and Oct - I started using this WD USB drive since Sep

Any idea why deleted recordings are still lurking around?

Hi,

I have an HDD set up with my Samsung TV, a D model from 2011. I access the HDD via the Source button on the TV remote and play/delete recordings directly from the HDD menu. So to delete a Freeview programme I would press Source, use the down arrow on the remote until it reached USB then press enter.

This takes me to the Recorded TV menu on the HDD and above the list of recordings on the top right are the function buttons. The one on the right is Edit Mode and if I press that a toolbar opens at the bottom of the screen. Then I locate the progamme I want to delete using the arrows on the remote and press enter on the one I want to delete. The toolbar is enabled and one of the options is Delete. I navigate to that and press it and then delete the recording.

It takes a long time to write but only a few seconds to do. When the recording has been deleted, pressing the Exit button on the remote removes the toolbar and pressing Exit again takes me back to the TV.

Note: it takes several seconds after switching on the TV for the connected sources to be recognised, so it's no good switching on the TV and then pressing Source straight away.

You'd think deleting the recordings in the epg section would actually delete them lol - classic samsung bit of ingenuity there
