In 1930s my Granddad's family weren't allow to start it until 19th December and my Grandma's in 1940s was 16th December. Both of them could play it up to 6th January. In 1990s my family always started it from 1st December and stop on 31st December which I think is best but my neighbor started to play Christmas music in the middle of November like 15th when Smooth Christmas the Radio station started and it finishes on 26th December. I think people should wait until first day in December.

I agree about no Christmas music before December 1st at the earliest. Also none after Boxing Day, but I switched the radio off when I heard a Christmas song this morning.

I remember the music channels would start playing christmas songs from around late November to early January and then that would be it. I remember there was also music choice who started from December the 1st to the 31st.

I like it to start on December 1st and finish after Boxing Day. I think it's ridiculous when they music channels start in the middle of November. That's way too early for Christmas songs!

Too few songs played to often for me I'm afraid. The result is I'm willing them to stop long before Christmas Day.

I was a bit shocked last Saturday, 27th. I heard Wonderful Christmastime played in Starbucks in Liverpool Airport, and Saviour's Day in a shopping arcade in Wigan. I suppose it was still Christmas weekend. Worse still, Tameside Radio played a version of Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas yesterday, the 30th! Mind you, Magic then played part of Boney M's Mary's Boy Child, but this couldn't really be helped as they were playing the top 20 from this week in 1978.

Start on December 23rd, end on December 26th with the exception of All I Want For Christmas which I play from the beginning of December.

Any time in December for me. Right up until New Years Eve. I also get a bit annoyed when Radio stops playing Christmas songs after the day. Christmas week lasts right up until New Year in my eyes.

There are a couple of Christmas songs on my iPod that I do regularly listen to throughout the year though. Queen, Elton and Mariah. I just love them too much to restrict listening to just 31 days
