Is it just me or does PC's incarnation of the doctor have a similar style to that of peter cushing. I really can see the resemblance & prefer this style of running to the more action man style of smith & tennant - even ecclestone for that matter.

I think he is highly reminiscent of Tom Baker personally

Patrick had the funniest run/scamper but Peter C's is up there.

That's a compliment, btw.

I noticed that, too. He's also obviously so familiar with watching Doctor Who for years that he's doing deliberate, echoes of most of them...just very briefly, occasionally, particularly Jon Pertwee, David Tennant and less so of some of the others., too. I think he's brilliant.

The action man running style seemed to me a bit too human. Interesting, to wonder where actors get their ideas from.

I don't think he's putting the run on. Armando Ianucci said that he kept writing running scenes for Malcolm Tucker because Capaldi has a funny run.

I just realised he appears when running how one would imagine a crab would if they suddenly started going forwards instead of sideways...

Even Moffatt's mocked the way he runs.

Watch "Local Hero" - his running is hilarious in that too.
