Steven Moffatt will continue to be in charge of the show for series 9 and I think the people behind the scenes are remaining the same (please correct me if I'm wrong) Its been said that Clara will be in all of series 9 so the status quo of series 8 carries over to the next series (its possible new characters will be added)

What about after series 9, I can't imagine Clara staying for another series so I'd say its likely that Jenna would leave at the end of the next series. But would this be Moffatts last series as well, he said before series 8 that he was closer to the end of his era than the beginning, so could he be bowing out next year and if so would it be at the end of series 9 or would he go out with a 2015 Christmas special leaving the new show runner(s) to start with series 10 with (I'm hoping) Capaldi as the Doctor being the thing that carries over from his tenure.

What are peoples thoughts on how things might turn out.

Agree with a lot of this. Clara and mofat leaving at the end of S9 or Christmas 2015 special makes sense. Hope they have some good stories for S9.

Also how series 9 could play out. I think we can expect a Missy return and possibly a development on the Galifrey search, or even for that story to reach an end.

As we have the same Tardis team as this year I hope the writer use this to their advantage and give us plot driven episodes from the start while also having good character moments. There's no need for introductions and getting to know each other and proving their worth, the Doctor and Clara should be running like a well oiled machine, working well as a duo against the troubles their travels throw at them.

They may go back to a series arc now that the characters have 'got to know each other' and that might help them mesh more.

Without sounding pessimistic, I think a lot depends on the next TV licence renewal by the Government. A reduction in the TV licence or removal could lead to an decease in the programmes budget. They might decide to do what happened last time RTD left, make specials for one year then a full series the year after.

As long as they change the music composer; it has become soooo cheesy.
Keep Clara but why not add a second companion.

Also, whoever is in charge, when they decide for a 'style' for a season, it's wrong. Like this last season, it was defined before the start as darker. And i agree and enjoyed it; it was darker, even the xmas special was darker.
But that's one of the magic aspect of DW; one episode might be dark and the next one frivolous or historic or whatever. Not knowing what to expect from one episode to the next is more exciting.

I'd prefer a male Doctor (that's how it was created) but i would enjoy immensely a show with a TimeLady. I don't mind if they take a break with the main show to have, let's say, a new show with Romana or someone else. No problem with the ' i'm the last Timelord'; they're time traveller. Or have both shows running too. And eventually bring both together for a big special.

So many more thoughts but they're more wishes than what could really happen. Many months of rumours, speculations, PR teasers, leaks and announcements ahead.

I want to see the next Doctor Who crossover next year is: Marvel Superheroes (The Avengers). My predicted Xmas special episode title will be "Heroes and Timelords". I hope I will play the superhero in this one and I also hope that Russell T Davis will write the crossover inplace of Steven Moffat as well as Peter Jackson might direct that as well.
