- Don't mess about with 12 too much - some of us might actually care if that happened (no matter how it may appear from a recurring subject in numerous unrelated discussions). Natural evolution over sudden change in direction, every time. Getting him from not hugging to intense curiosity, to dad dancing, to hugging, to joyful sleigh riding - just carry it on from there.
- Second companion. As above, preferably female - full time TARDIS dweller & eventual Clara replacement, either at some point during the series or for Series 10. - The final Moffat series. Although I'll happily take a Series 10 over a hiatus if necessary. Ending with a flourish, I'm sure, whenever it may be. Perhaps a fully fledged Gallifreyean tale at some point, without resolving the arc, now we know we can return there in the past. Could be a visual treat. - Continued ratings success, foreign and domestic. Keep it up, Doctor. ![]() - If we need a classic villain, then an intricate Davros story without hordes of Daleks going through the motions. Either that, or a revamped returning foe. Preferably not in the same "lets make them more relatable" vein as others, if at all possible. - Some unexpected use of Missy. The big bad with a big bad plan won't cut it two series in a row. Perhaps a mid-series use. The Listen of the series. - A few new writers again. For better of for worse, it's always nice to have fresh blood. Though more Mathieson would be sublime. |

Basically all of the above I'd love to see. I'd maybe leave the Davros story a bit longer, ad have the Sea Devils instead...I'm not really sure.
But other than that, that's basically my wishlist.

I'd just love to see the Doctor and Clara (and a male companion later) to have straightforward 45 minute adventures every week.
NO story-Arcs please!! 2-Part stories - OK! Bring back Daleks, cybermen etc for one story - and also maybe Ice Warriors and The Yeti. BUT Get some new (if possible) New aliens/ psychic phenomenon etc. NOT timey - Wimey rubbish!! But PROPER Time-Travel into the past/future etc. Time Travel that made sense and not used as "Deux a Machine Get-Out Clause!!!" Companions that are REAL! Not people that die and are suddenly Undead - that is what annoys me the most!! When Adric died - he died!!! Most dramatic. When someone dies now - viewers think, "Oh well - he/she will be alive again soon!". Where's the suspense??

My wish list:
1. Add Shona 2. Keep Clara, would be good to seem them work together, both as actors and characters 3. No massive story arc, just a series of adventures 4. No Missy . No River. No Daleks. No Cybermen. 5. Clara to meet her favourite Roman Emperor, Marcus Aurelius. 6. Another deep look inside the Tardis. 7. Another cameo from Tom Baker / Curator But I'll settle for no.1 , plus any of the others ! |

Clara dies a horrible death in the 1st 5 minutes of the first episode. The 12th doctor degenerates at the end of the 1st episode and matt smith comes back for the rest of the season. Daleks acceptable. NO MISSY NO CYBERMEN AND NO DANNY PINK

Clara to have no baggage and to be a full time companion.
I would like to see a lot less of the TARDIS (inside and out) It seems overused at the moment. The main series arc not to get in the way of The Doctor and Clara having adventures. Too many times under Steven Moffat a story has to give up its time to an overbearing series arc that ultimately just gets in the way for what is, imo, very little pay off come the end of the series. See Orient Express and the Danny Pink/Clara relationship for example. It just gets in the way of a corker of an episode. That isnt to say there was NO relationship between The Doctor and Clara. I just wish the bulk of it was more natural. I havent explained that at all well. Maybe another day. Davros. UNIT (Not the Keystone cops we had in the finale )That said, for me series 8 was the strongest since series 5 and I enjoyed it much more than I had series 6 and 7. I just feel the the whole Danny Pink thing was an unnecessary sledgehammer of an addition, and a rather amateurish one if I am to be honest. But horses, courses and all that.

Sorry CAMERA OBSCURA - but I beg to differ. A lot of us Tardis fans LOVE to see the Police Box and it's Interior! We don't need to see it all the time, but it is nice to see it at the start/middle/end of a story!! After all - it is an essential part of the story!! Where would we be without it??

Have an arc particular to the series. Don't bring up a question from Series 6 and answer it just to tick a box. Actually think of an arc and work it through the series so it doesn't turn out like a half-baked cake.

I hate story arcs - but if they must, then stick to ONE series and finish it!! |

- a less erratic Doctor - I feel like I still don't know what kind of character he is beyond a grumpasaurus rex.
- also a less erratic Clara, and I don't want her character fiddled with. She's not a superhero, she's just an ordinary person. And unbelievable as it is, she can forget Danny Pink as far as I'm concerned - decently plotted stories week in, week out - some stories set in the past properly - if there is a story arc, it needs to be fulfilled at the end of the series - another female companion would be cool |

My dream 12 TARDIS Team
12th Doctor (obviously )Osgood (she had so much potential) Perkins (Frank Skinner was just amazing) K-9 (This is a must by far, 12 and K-9 would work out so much. They still have the rights for K-9, I just don't want them to kill Sarah Jane off, if they do bring K-9 back, then they most likely would) Shona (she was just AMAZING, funny and had some character development. Now obviously I dont want all of these crammed into the same TARDIS, maybe OSGOOD and K-9 and then Shona and PERKINS? I don't know, but even having one of them back would be amazing ![]() Monsters I want to see a monster like 11 had with the Silence, I want it to be new, fresh and scary! I would like a few new monsters this series and maybe some Classic monsters back I'd love Gareth Roberts and Jamie Mathieson too return, especially Jamie, MOTOE is my favourite off the series. I also want this to be Moffats last series, he has almost had it for 5 series I think now is a great time to leave and go and focus on Sherlock Another thing is I WANT MORE REFRENCES, Ahh refrences mean a lot, I squeal everytime I here or see some Might go in depth with other things later |

Even a reference that the character is still continuing fighting the good fight from her attic would've been a nice touch, but nope, nothing. |

I think it's interesting that the real life passing of Nicholas Courtney has received tributes by Moffat at the end of series 6, the 50th and the end of series 8, whereas the passing of Elizabeth Sladen has recieved not a mention at all.

Even a reference that the character is still continuing fighting the good fight from her attic would've been a nice touch, but nope, nothing. This was the one out of two things that I wanted in the 50th (even if I got this I wouldn't have been bothered about the no classic doctors) I do not want her killed off, I like it how her character is still alive defending the earth, but no mention at all, even a "how many sonics are there" "We've had (say 13) so I think there has been 13 yeah" "Ah but remember Sarah Janes sonic lipsic which makes 14" I really want to know why there has been no mention at all, or even Tommy Knight respire his role as Luke just to stand there for Liz (he did say he is open for a return) I actually sent a questions for the Ask Steven about this for the next issue, here's hoping it gets answered |

The only returning characters I would like to see in season 9 are the twelfth Doctor, Clara and....the eighth Doctor. A two parter with Paul McGann would be great. But I would like to see some new aliens, a purely historical adventure and some more episodes written by Jamie as the two he wrote for the last season were my favourites. I would rather no more Missy as I disliked this character for lots of reasons.

- Have a similar episode structure to S8, apart from the fact that both the opening and closing stories are two-parters.
- Include Missy in the same vain as late-Roger Delgado Master, in that she appears in two or three stories throughout Series 9, neither being the series opener or finale. - The series arc would concern the end of the Time War, leading up to the eventual reveal that Gallifrey is not in a pocket universe, but instead is hidden in the darkness of our own Solar System. This would then have repercussions for Earth, the only (currently) primitive planet in the Solar System, and the Doctor would aid UNIT in averting a number of invasions by enemies of the Time Lords. It would be revealed in the series finale that the events of Night of the Doctor have led to the survival of the Time Lords, because of the fact that Clara collapsed in the Doctor's time stream when the War Doctor was revealed, meaning that the Time War is the only part of the Doctor's history that the Great Intelligence successfully altered. The Doctor actually would see this as a defeat, as the Time Lords' destruction prevented them from destroying the universe, meaning that their survival would put Earth in danger. - The series would end with the Doctor facing the decision to either end time itself or destroy his own race, leading into the Christmas special, where humanity's fate would be decided once and for all. (This would be part of the 10th anniversary of NuWho celebrations) |

Some ideas which probably support a lot of what's been said:
* Moffat's last series. Series 8 was a return to form but agree with the consensus that people can stay in these jobs for too long. I'd take a year of specials following series 9 if this was needed - the idea of Doctor Who having a fallow year every 5 years or so might help its long term survival. But I'd rather have a full season 10 too! * Clara's last season. Don't hate the character at all, but unless they find something new in her, she seems to have had two major plots (Impossible Girl / Pink or Doctor) which I think might have exhausted the possibilities with her. We could have a season with her in a more background role, but that might seem a little strange given that she has been so central to plots to date. * Return of Missy and Gallifrey, possibly in the same storyline. This might help get over Missy's "death" in series 8: the price of restoring Gallifrey is to restore Missy as well? Agree with the suggestion that this could be a 2 or 3 parter, rather than a series long arc. * No cybermen

They're always going to be in a series, even if it's in a cameo appearance. Instead maybe just hope they get a story that justifies their return. |

I'm easy to please.
No more trying to pave the way for Miranda Hart as the next Doctor. Return the emphasis of the show to the Doctor instead of him standing about redundant. No more shows that are so " wacky" Timmy Mallet would be ashamed. No more urinating on the original show. Emphasis on good plots &stories instead of gimmick ideas like " what if the TARDIS was gay" Which leads to Less lefty propaganda & historical whitewashing. I liked Vastra & Jenny, but in deep breath all the seemed to do was constantly point out their sexuality. We get it, you're enlightened including diverse characters but it'd have been more subtle to have Vastra & Jenny walking about wearing strap ons & Strax in a gimp suit. Finally I'd like strax to stop moonlighting as a Senator in Iron Man 2 and Captain America Winter Soldier |

In most things, season 9 should remain similar to the season 8. Almost all stories were great and Moffat has proved that he still has many great ideas for story plots. Listen and Last Christmas are definitely among my favorite episodes all the time. I've always loved stories about dreams and use of such a concept is definitely a great success. Jamie Mathieson also proved himself as brilliant writer. He wrote two fantastic episodes.
Although, the main problem of series 8 was too much focus on political issues (like gender and sexuality). Politics is just dividing fans and can be very harmful for the show. So, my wishlist for series 9 would be: -DW is a sci-fi / fantasy show and it should stay so. So, it should be focused on immaginative and creative storylines and plots. Not on promoting some political stances. Not on debating social issues. -More episodes about dreams (like Amy's Choice, Listen and Last Christmas). Great concept and can't wait to see more such episodes. -Clara can stay, but it would be great to see some new characters and some old characters back. -It would be nice to see some scary monsters, like Silence, Whisper Men or Weeping Angels. Or maybe some new. Moffat is brilliant in creating such villans. -Interesting, but not too complicated story arc (like Cracks in wall or Impossible Girl) -Feeling like in Series 5 -No more Missy. If there has to be the Master, give him back his gender and explain why such mistake even happened! As for writers, this would be the ideal for me: Moffat - 5 episodes + Christmas special Mathieson - 2 episodes Cornell - 2 episodes (two-parter) Cross - 1 or 2 episodes Whithouse - 1 episode new writer(s) - 1 or 2 episodes As for new writters, I'd like to see J. K. Rowling writting for Doctor Who, maybe a two parter |

My dream Series 9 would be made up of 26 23-minute episodes, would see a scientific advisor permanently attached to the production team to prevent more nonsense like Kill the Moon, and would include the following:
Well-structured stories which genuinely are adventures in time and space Shona as a regular companion Clara bowing out as soon as possible The return of the Mechanoids The return of the Voord Guest stars including Jack Dee, Eva Green, and Charles Dance Shona as a regular companion A last story for Jamie, in which he dies heroically (the closing credits would roll to the sound of "McCrimmon's Lament") One purely historical adventure, with no sci-fi content other than the premise of the show A story written by A.L. Kennedy (Scotland's greatest living writer) A third Peladon story, involving Nina Thomas, Ice Warriors, Alpha Centauri, and an intergalactic equivalent of Nigel Farage A family reunion story, including Susan, her grandchildren, and Jenny NO Paternoster Gang, Danny Pink, Weeping Angels, Missy, or episodes written by that oafish pasticheur Gatiss. Shona as a regular companion The return of Jackie Tyler, I could go on... |
