I got a pair of Beats by Dre headphones for Christmas which are meant to work with iPhones. It comes with a microphone and remote which should pause, play, and change the volume on the phone. But it doesn't seem to be working with my iPhone 6 Plus.

Is there anything I need to do to make it work or should it be an instant thing?

Oh wait, the wire was upside down. I did wonder why the microphone was all the way at the bottom...

Yes they should work. I have a pair of solo HDs and they work with my 6 plus.
