Lip-sync problem
We have a Humax Foxsat HDR box linked by HDMI cable to a newly purchased series 6 Samsung LED tv (model UE40F61). Having shocking problems with lip sync when replaying recorded or paused pregrammes.
We also have an Amstrad Sky HD box linked by HDMI to the same tv which gives no such problems. The same confuguration was used with the previous tv a Samsung LCD model with no problems from either box. I am not sure whether the problem lies with the Humax unit or a software problem with the new tv.....or something else.......help please, my knowledge of such things is very limited! |

Have you tried adjusting the audio delay setting on the Humax?

Yes, it was set at 20ms, so I have tried it at 0 and also up to 180ms, without any improvement.

We've got a Manhattan HD freesat box and LG Smart TV, and the exact same happens to us. We have to change channel's and then go back to the Satellite channel to put it back in sync. Very odd.

A known bug is lip-sync issues when fast forward/reversing through a recorded (including time-slip of the 0.ts live buffer) programme... Avoid using fast-forward or back buttons - the ones above <green> and <red> on the hand unit.
Use the (Advert) skip forward and back buttons instead (above the <blue> and <yellow> buttons) and see if that helps? If you are out of lip sync on a recoded programme (no the live buffer) STOPping the playback and resuming it will restore lip sync to be correct. |
