One for the Nokia lumia folk
My parents both have lumias, my dads is the 520 and my mum has the one that's almost identical spec wise apart from its got a bigger screen and slightly thinner, forget which model? Anyway, my mum said hers had an update, she just clicked on it and the phone did the rest(win 8.1), where as my dads said it needs to connect to wifi to download? Why is this? Been into options and it's set to "allow downloads over mobile network where possible" (or words to that effect).
Second, do you know of an app for windows phone that lets you make a collage picture, like 4 pictures into one for example? Can't seem to do it with the built in picture editor. Thanks |

I think you can create collages in Creative Studio which is a free app.
Updates over 50 MB require a Wi-Fi connection usually on a windows phone, regardless of settings. Are you sure your mums wasn't connected to any Wi-Fi? |

My samsung galaxy s3 phone recommends to download large files via wifi re: to save on mobile data. It's not a requirement.
I've downloaded larger than 50MB files from play store via mobile sim card |
