I wonder if someone could help me please?

I was given an iTunes voucher for Christmas from my Secret Santa. It was a £10 voucher and I didn't know what to buy so on impulse pre-ordered a film that has not been released yet, which comes to more than voucher cost (which is fine) but I have decided instead that I'd like to download some music now but I can't see how to cancel the pre-order.

If I use the voucher now will iTunes just take the money from the registered card or ask me for payment first when the film is released?

Thank you. Very helpful. I've been using my iPad mini and it clearly says that I can't manage pre-orders on an iPad, iPod or iPhone. Which is why I couldn't find the answer out myself.
