Sim card contacts question.

Hoping someone can offer advice on this one.

I have just changed phones from a galaxy ace 2 to ace 4. The ace 4 has a smaller sim card which I am just about to arrange for my number to be swapped over. All my contacts are on the sim. How can I transfer all my contacts onto the new smaller sim? I have heard its possible with gmail but no luck so far

Thanks

I'd move the contacts from the SIM to the phone, Sync the phone with a Google account, and then sync the new phone with the Google account.

Not sure if it is the same on Samsung phones but on my HTC under Settings there is an option "Get content from another phone". This uses Bluetooth to connect to another phone and copy across various data such as Contacts, photos etc.

I used it when transferring stuff from my previous phone to this one. Might be an option, unless it is unique to HTC phones.

Also on my phone there are various Sync options available with my Google account. If you have set up the same Google account on both phones then you should be able to use the Sync option to copy the contacts over. Not tried that but it should do the job.

So if the old phone is set up to sync contacts to your Google account they should be there for the new phone to pick up if you point that at the same account.

On my phone you can check by going into Settings then Accounts and Sync then Google then tap the account name.
