Hi does anyone know if you are allowed to hand carry Recharge 2500 Battery Powered Ultimate Portable USB Charger on the plane? This is really handy for my phone and tablet. What are not allowed ?

I think the same rule applies as with mobile phones; yes, if they are fully charged. That is supposed to show they are what they were intended to be and not a small bomb disguised as mobile phone/USB charger.

Its a good question - as how can you tell a USB charger is working and not a bomb? The LED lights up when you move the switch ?!?!

Its a bit crazy actually that security are happy to see things powered, there is a lot of possibility for the bad guys, Hollywood has already shown (years ago) phones that make calls, exploding later in the movie!!

There is an overheating enclosed space fire risk with these. I certainly would never charge a phone in my pocket. Simply not worth the risk.
