Hard one as there is so much left to learn but i'll say...

Deaan. He's caused so much drama and I never thought he got a fair deal first time round. I am very pleased to have shabnam back as well though so close second.

Given how i hated her by her departure and first few weeks back I'll have to say

Lauren is much better as well though and nice to see a different side of Alfie.

I don't think i actually have one. The Carters have dominated but it hasn't annoyed me unlike the Branning a couple of years ago.

Adam Woodyatt. Always loved him and he hasn't let me down with the Lucy stuff

1 David and Ian in the Chapel. Just quietly wonderful. So much history excellently underplayed by 2 natural actors at the top of their game.
2 Peter breaks down as Ian tells him Lucy has died.
Some thought it funny but Ben Hardy portrayed such primal, raw grief in that howl. So real. And the direction with everyone watching them in the vic, Ian holding his hand as he lead him out, and the puddle was perfect
3 Mick smashing up the Vic
Finally a pay off to months of Linda keeping her rape to herself and seeing Mick blow. Also, the comedy moment of the BBC giving a number to call if you are experiencing the same difficulties as him and having to explain it all to people that only see Christmas.

I have to vote for Adam Woodyatt. He was incredible in the aftermath of Lucy's death.

2. Best Actress

My vote goes to Diane Parish. She knocked it out of the park last year, a scene stealer.

Special mentions to Lindsey Coulson and Kellie Bright who were brilliant in their respective storylines.

1. Who Killed Lucy?
Meticulously plotted with a plethora of twists and turns, every character involved in some way.

2. Carol’s cancer
A realistic portrayal that wasn't sensationalised. Beautiful character drama with a stonking performance by Lindsey Coulson.

3. The faking of Nick’s death/Cotton suspicion
I loved the mystery of this story. Charlie and Yvonne have been great additions to the Cottons and Dot finally has a great unit to work with. The return of an original for the 30th, Nick, is inspired and it looks like this story will turn into a memorable, epic exit for him.

WORST
1. Alfie’s secret
No contest for me. It was AWFUL.

2. Aleks’ secret
I don't think the married angle was necessary or added anything to the show.

3. Sonia/Tina/Tosh/domestic abuse
I expected more from this storyline.


4. Episode of the Year LIST TOP 3 in order!
1. 20/3- Janine freed and exits
I loved Janine and this was the perfect exit for her.

2. 15/1- Dennis reveal/Carol tells Sonia/Masood dinner
It was a great episode by Gillian Richmond. Great character drama and acting.

3. 22/4- Ian tries to deal with the news/tell his family
Beautifully written and directed by James Payne and Rebecca Gatward. Adam and Ben were heartbreaking and that end scene didn't leave a dry eye in the house.
