Happy - Pharrell Williams
Any of One Direction's recent singles
That Uptown Funk song. It's really starting to grate on me now.

Definitely Happy. I know it's a 2013 song really but it was just beaten so far into the ground by ads, radio and middle of the road TV shows that just hearing a few bars of it elicits a reaction of both anger and disgust from me.

Eh?

The most annoying song of 2014 surely goes to Nicky Minaj - Anaconda.

Dreadful with a capital DREADFUL. Give me Let It Go, Happy and All About That Bass anytime over that horror of a song.

I am fortunate in that popular pop songs havent been over played to me as I listen to country radio, and on that I dont think there has been one single song that has been overplayed, not like Cruise last year.

Same with me except I only listen to soul radio and not mainstream pop. I'd never heard All About The Bass until Fleur sang it on X Factor and only heard Let It Go for the first time in a hotel in Ibiza in the summer.

Happy I first heard in about November 2103 and I must admit that did start to get overplayed even at specialist events but not heard it for about 6 months now.

For me, the most overplayed songs this year are Listen by Soulutions and Superstar by The Company but I doubt many people even know those songs - still both decent tunes though.

I don't listen to much mainstream pop anymore so I can count on the fingers of my two hands all the songs that I have heard all year and Let It Go would be at the top of my list. Its even used in an advert (I think for The AA) so there is no escaping it.

Happy is a very close second for me.

I know it's not been very overplayed or any thing but Calvin Harris - Summer. Every time the song is on it does my head in.

It couldn't even be avoided in shopping centres over the past month or so! Is this the only song from the film - and if so - is it considered the best??? If so - then musicals truly have gone down. I'm not saying anything about the film - because by all accounts the film itself is pretty good. This song is a total turn-off though.

That song is two and a half years old. Move on.

For 2014, definitely All About That Bass or that AWFUL Children in Need cover of Wake Me Up
