Never say never, time changes things and the way people feel about them. Tom Baker didn't do the five doctors, but look at him in 2013 happily being involved in the 50th.

What a cheery post!. Seriously, I know it might be cancelled by then, but give it's current success ithere's probably as much chance that it won't be, so I think we can allow a bit of optimism. Agree with you the 50th episode was good though.

Extremely doubtful they would ever bring Tennant back as anything other than the real doctor.
I never thought they would for the 50th because casual viewers would likely not even remember the storyline, and of those of us who would, many would feel cheated at having him back as anything but the real doctor.
These points would be even more prominent for the 60th. Could you imagine:
STARRING MATT SMITH as the doctor
STARRING PETER CAPALDI as the doctor
STARRING DAVID TENNANT as some character who made a one episode appearance 15 years ago.
It would just be so wrong.
