Has anyone else had trouble finding these this year? I tried all the shops around my area this christmas, including the supermarkets and i have only found 1 big bottle in an off licence. I never had trouble finding them before.

I tried to find some last year, brought what I thought was the orange flavour. Got them home to find that they tasted horrible, so I checked the label in case they were the fake versions that Matt Allwright and Dominic Littlewood warn me about from time to time. Turns out they don't contain Bacardi any more and are now "wine based alcoholic fruit drinks".

I'm not even sure they're made by Bacardi any more. The Bacardi name doesn't even appear on the bottles. I've checked supermarket websites, etc. but it all seems to be this fruity wine version now, even though they're still selling it as "Bacardi Breezer". I switched to Smirnoff Ice.

The sale of alcopops has been in major decline for a number of years because nobody really seems to want them. As a result, a number of products have been terminated completely, and others are only available in limited outlets.

I've just done a check, and according to Mysupermarket.com, proper Bacardi Breezer Orange is still available in Tesco and Morrisons (although presumably, larger stores only).

It's been relegated to a 'special order' item at the wholesaler we use (Booker) - so it has to be ordered in specially. You can't just go in and get it off the shelf.

We stopped selling Breezers, WKD and Smirnoff-Ice last year after - nobody ever bought them and the stock we had expired.

Separately, it does appear as if they have released 'Breezer Spritzer' drinks, largely aimed at the same market (primarily young women that don't like the taste of alcohol).

Thank you both for your replys. Its a shame they are on the way out. I have always loved my water melon flavour breezers at christmas. The sainsburys by me still do smirnoff ice and WKD so i'll have to switch to smirnoff too

I don't think they call them Bacardi Breezers - it is simply known as Breezer and is a spritzer. Having said that I have still seen the original Bacardi Breezers at my local club but I would imagine they are older stock that are being phased out as they don't seem to be available to buy any more ...

I don't think it is the proper stuff - the image on mysupermarket shows it as simply Breezer and wine based ...

Flamin he'll talk about blast from the past! Used to drink these as a teenager, moved onto Smirnoff Ice. Can't touch alcopops anymore, to sweet and gassy for me!

I can't say I've seen BB, but all the supermarkets I go into seem to have WKD and Smirnoff Ice in big bottles and sometimes crates.
