a lot of people on here saying they think it's her but why would she kill Lucy? in fact know one has a motive for wanting her dead.unless we find out more about what Lucy was up too or get flashbacks the reveal won't make any sense IMO.she didn't really do anything that bad...

could she have mistaken her for Lauren? Same clothes etc.

Ahh no doubt EE will write the perfect off screen backstory to make it all line up. Just like apparently Lucy was a cocaine addict but didn't show any of the effects - in the same world where people buy coke in baggies… yeah right...

Maybe Lola found out that Peter was selling drugs to Lucy and thought that Lucy had a bad influence on Peter? Then she might have 'killed' Lucy accidentally while lashing out?

I can't think of anything that would have motivated Lola to kill Lucy. Was there ever any friction between them? Whitney was once a potential name in the early days because she hated Lucy for bullying her (something Lauren only found out recently).

Angry because of argument with Billy? Mistook her for Lauren?

Lola started to get jealous because Peter was too busy dealing with Lucy's problems to spend time with her. There was a scene on Good Friday where Lucy was walking through the square and Lola scowled at her from afar.

I can't think of one reason why lola would kill lucy so for me thats about as likely as it being ian.

I honestly can't think of a single person who would have a real motive for killing Lucy

Whitney sticks out as the only 1 who appeared to have an issue with Lucy and that stems from Lee..........

I wouldn't think she'd have a strong motive like the other suspects but something could have stemmed behind the scenes or a spur of the moment thing happened. Maybe she felt jealous that Peter was looking after Lucy more and felt threatened as she felt that Lucy would make Peter leave Lola.

Im pretty convinced Lola is the killer

1. She was jealous of Peters relationship with Lucy and in their final scene, Lola (in a quite out of character way imo) mocked Lucy for fighting with Peter

2. It has been hinted that Lauren was the intemded victim, if this was the case then id also makes sense as Lola has always known Peters heart belonged to her

3. Lola may have witnessed the argument between Billy and Lucy and this compunded with jer jealousy may have been enough to start an argument.

It is going to be someone unexpected and I think Lola has enough of a connection to the Beales without being too onvious a choice. I think may also explain her lack of screen time: maybe they kept Lola off screen so to hide her reaction to the various twists in the murder investigation?
