Backing Singers
I'm often fascinated by the dress and little routines of the backing singers for some major artists.
As an example, check out the three girls backing Aretha Franklin here, all those years ago. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=STKkWj2WpWM |

I loved Madonna's backing singers, Niki and Donna. The fact that all three of them were incredibly close made their chemistry incredible on stage. Sadly they don't work together anymore, as Niki had a family and Donna moved on to other things. I wonder if they will contact each other.

Quite brilliant. |

I think that's The Sweet Inspirations on backing vocals. They say in background singers in the US.

The Opals (Rose Addison, Myra Tillison, and Rose "Tootsie" Jackson) were a female teenage, mostly session singing group, who provided the uncredited "Shoop, Shoop" backing in Betty Everett's "It's in His Kiss." I can't find a live concert performance of this, just Everett miming to it in a TV performance.
So here are "The Opals," on their own. They deserved more recognition as they were also uncredited backing other singers, before having a few releases of their own.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oAz0zFWswnM |

We saw them once performing at a Manchester nightclub. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zAWn4FO1MOw |
