Obviously it would take more than Denise Welch so I dont mean singlehandly but could Ms Welch be a useful important ingredient to help boost the shows fortunes as a returning Natalie Barnes?

In addition to her character the show itself has suffered from a dip in coverage from tabloids and "down market mags" or wider media presence since the departure of Michelle Keegan whose non soap life was well publicised/reported on.

Denise seems to have a bit if a colourful personality and private life frothing with the mini non dramas and real dramas that the press love.....Perhaps a return for Denise could also help boost the shows media profile. Not that Im suggesting soap bosses would ever utilise anything other than the quality of a story and its performances to boost their show......

Agreed. She ws awful last time. I don't think I've ever seen anything she was good in though. Is she still working anyway?

I don't think she would return as she never enjoyed it anyway due to personal issues

But if she did, i would be glad. Despite what a tabloid mess she has become, I always rated Denise as a good actress and It would be nice for people to be reminded that she was an actress, not just a reality star and a regular tabloid fixture.

Sorry but its a no from me too.

I didn't mind the character of Natalie Barnes at the time, but unfortunately Denise's stint on CBB has put me right off her as too has her appearances in the rags.

Might be an interesting one from Kevin Webster's POV.

Presumbly Sally would still kick off despite being with Tim.

Highly Likely!
Does Denise still own part of the garage?

Natalie might be a perfect way to keep Kevin from sniffing round Sally again. She wouldn't save the show, but it's easy to forget how brilliant a character Natalie Barnes was now Denise is a 'celebrity' rather than an actress. So yes, I'd love to see her return.

I didn't watch during Denise's stint so can't really comment on the character but I think it would probably take more than one returnee to save the show. I'd love to see Becky back but don't think she could single-handedly compensate for the Nazirs, the awful David and Kylie split, Les Dennis and his fake son, Sean and the Vicar, the upcoming Faye plot, endless Windass misery, screeching Sophie and miserable Maddeh, Steve's depression surrounded by the most uncaring and unsupportive family and friends you can imagine ... it comes to something when the storylines you can remember are the awful sofa plot and Norris and his stupid package. The programme needs drastic help and that is from the top, in the producers and writers, as a lot of the characters would be fine if they were to get back on track and fast.

I thought this was going to be a suggestion that she replace Blackburn as producer.

No please not Natalie Barnes again, awful actress and too much outside baggage.

Ditto for Becky, dreadful character and well dodgy actress.

I think that would be the thing that would tip me over the edge and make me switch off. Sally works with Tim. And Tim's budding bromance with Kevin has major comedy potential. Unlike anything else on Corrie at the moment.

I agree. Three of the most amusing characters at the moment, and I think Tim and Sally are just right. Kevin getting back with Sally would be unrealistic and very dull.
