I haven't seen the E4 episode from last night but I really enjoyed the Christmas/New Year episodes & I hope Hollyoaks keep this up!

In a way I agree but I feel as if BK is making it too OTT at times. His ideas are great and I'm sure he has thought them through but the story lines feel too rushed and one after the other. There is still the element of rewriting history to coincide with storylines for the sake of it. The Sienna storyline seems to drag on these days, it's not original and it is never ending.

Best soap I've seen over the festive period, it has been very good recently but I'm not sure they can keep up the standards, I think they need to work out which writers aren't working and which are or storyliners.

It's high drama bit OTT but surely one of the most entertaining soaps on our screens right now. Always thought HO was the most creative one out of the major four British soaps.

The xmas/NY eps have been a bit better but they always are for any soap. It's still in a dire state.

Ive enjoyed it recently too come to think of it.
Mostly because there hasn't been that much kidnap, blackmail or thuggery. And we've had a brief rest from the Sienna and Patrick merry go round of craziness.
I agree that they do some storylines to death, dragging them out unnecessarily.
