Is Denise ruined now? EastEnders
Wow I can't believe Denise has been abusing Patrick. Is she ruined now?

I'm surprised they went this route with her! I still don't think she's ruined though

She doesn't have to be, IF she's the killer then it'll be a hard one but if not then I'm sure she can come back from it.

Definitely not, all soap characters have their ups and downs and when they're on their 'down side' they are seen as 'ruined' on this forum for some reason

It was very 'un-Denise'. Very silly.

No, Denise can come back from it. As it's been said, Ashley in Emmerdale is a good example of this. Also Billy in Eastenders too.

No, If anything it's the next dark chapter, she not actively abusing him, she lost her temper and lost control, she drinking and having a mini breakdown, Denise is a fantastic character and I hope they delve into it more and give Diane Parish the much deserved screen time.

This was a bit random and very unlike Denise, but I can buy that the alcohol is the "demon" if you will, that is making her do this.
Also, they're probably making her look more menacing, so we can buy her being the murderer of Lucy. |

Denise killed Lucy, there's no question in my mind she's the killer since the way she ledft the pub the other day, and she was there when Emma sent the text.

I don't think Denise is Lucy's killer. I think it's Peter. I think we are being shown characters' dark sides and we're supposed to think it's them but it probably won't be.

I still think its Jane but if Max knows something then I am not sure if it would be max or denise. but shaking patricks not quite on the same scale as murder |

It is a very out of character plot, especially given she was twice a victim to horrific domestic violence.

She's clearly having some sort of breakdown and one of the classic symptoms of a breakdown is someone behaving out of character.

Disgusted with that twist tonight and I really hope that it will be a once-off for Denise and not a new twist. Becoming a carer for a family member is undoubtedly extremely stressful but there are other ways they could've portrayed her struggles, its distasteful and completely out of character for Denise.

I think some of Denise's facial expressions as she watched Emma puts her back in the frame. But it might be a red herring to throw viewers off at the last minute.
The final suspects IMO will be her, Jane, Ben, Abi and Max. |

If Denise is capable of abusing Patrick, she might be capable of murder!

I don't think it ruins Denise at all, the actress is one of the best in EE, so I think DTC knows what he is doing.

Not at all.
It is a shock indeed to see how low she she has gone, but we have seen other loved characters come back from similar situations i.e. Ashley in Emmerdale. The signs have been there in hindsight, but still shocking to see it confirmed. I look forward to seeing what happens next. |

I think it MIGHT have been Dean but why would he harm Patrick..?
Hard to digest it being Denise because she's been a victim of this herself especially with the big Lucas thing. |
