One of the best episodes of EastEnders I've seen
Yes I know some people are gonna disagree but it's just my opinion, It had me at the edge of my seat for the most part and the acting was brilliant, especially from Rita Simons who deserves some recognition for tonight's episode.

I thought it was embarrassing and cringe worthy
I much referred the Christmas day offering so am clearly in the minority.

That was a great episode! (9.5/10) - (.5) due to Ronnie not dying.

It's the best episode I've watched in tv for a long time was on edge of seat whole time from minute the car crashed. Really thought Ronnoe was a goner for a second! Glad they didn't kill off Emma too, v cliche!

I agree, an amazing episode! It's rare these days that we can be completely shocked! Also, shocked in a good way!

The acting was terrible. I think soap actors in general receive unfair criticism but Emma, Nick and Roxy stood out for all the wrong reasons (although to be fair, I think Emma had to work with a crap script).

I was on tenterhooks for the entire hour. There were things in it that made me suspend my belief, however. That Emma could avoid serious injury (seemingly) from being hit head first by a speeding car. And that nobody apart from Ronnie were seriously injured in such a terrible smash. And that Ronnie was dead, and then she magically woke up.

It was fantastic and made up for the Christmas Day let-down.

Yes great episode I was genuinely in suspense all the way through. Still no closer to figuring out who killed Lucy, just added 2 more suspects to my list.

After viewing for 20 years, that was without a doubt the most exciting episode I've ever seen. I was on the edge of my seat for every SECOND!!! I was actually wishing Emma to die so Ronnie and the baby would survive! I certainly don't feel 'robbed' over the 'death' at all. Absolutely fantastic drama.

I'm bumping this as I can't be arsed to type the same thing in other "this was an amazing episode" type threads.
Hopefully the mods merge them all sooner rather than later. |

The whole thing with Emma was just ****ing stupid. It's not even worth discussing.
Overall I very much enjoyed the episode, but think they should have killed Ronnie. That's the best exit she was ever going to get, and even if she did survive she'd be a vegetable, but obviously the writers will dismiss that. |

The Boxing Day episode was better than the Christmas one. Mick melting down was just fantastic.
But tonight just blew them out of the water. Ronnie is still the Square's leading lady, Linda can just wait

I have to say, that was how an accident should be done. Car crashes, fires and explosions have become almost an annual tradition in soaps and in such tragedies there is rarely any kind of scare factor evoked in the viewers or even in the family members of whoevers been injured. Im not usually a fan of Rita Simons but she along with the actor who plays Charlie really had me going tonight!

I take it you've only been watching for a few years then?
The overhype on this forum is very entertaining. |
