hi , ive been with vodafone on contract now for about 14 years, always been happy with the service despite over the years being told by mates ive been paying over the odds etc.
now ive also always had a basic chuck norris phone that you can throw at walls etc and if it breaks who cares , probably had 4 in 14 yrs , from a nokia 3210 to my current 10 quid samsung jobby , ,,,, they make calls , send texts and best of all you charge em once a week.
however last year my brother in law took out another contract just to get the latest phone ,,,, i think he has about 5 contracts now lol , (you all know someone like him no doubt lol).
anyhow he kindly gave me the sim and told me to use it at my leisure , (with him paying the bill) .its a 3 sim unlimited data thingy
so i bought a moto g on the recommendation of you guys on ds , and slowly its managed to trap my 42 yr old fuddy duddy technofear set in my ways heart , took me quite a while to get to grips with android and im still a noob when it comes to downloads and customisation etc , ,,,, i find i use it most for sat-nav with google maps , and especially film streeming on a cpl of sites,,,,,, love it. ,,,,,,, however believe it or not ive never actually made a call or text on it once lol , my voda samsung takes care of that .
so come april the 3 contract ends and obviously my brother in law isn't renewing it , and then in may my voda contract ends. ,,,,,,,, so erm ? what to do ?
first am i right in thinking voda dont do all u can eat data plans ? ,,,,,, and therefore i would be better off with a all u can eat data sim only deal from 3 ? ,,,,, and therefore just have the convenience of 1 phone / 1 contract .
how painless is it to transfer my voda number to 3 ?
what's 3's cheapest all u can eat plan ( i only use 500 mins a month max on my voda)
will i get used to making calls with the moto g , organising contacts and sending texts etc. i know that probably sounds like a simple consideration for some of you lol , but its a new world to me.
or should i be considering something entirely different ?
bottom line , ive been spoilt with unlimited netflix etc , so need to continue with an unlimited plan , but see little point in having 2 contracts.
any and all help appreciated . cheers tray
