EE - Best episode in years
I can't remember the last time my heart was beating so fast for a TV show. Brilliant episode. So happy Ronnie survived.

I completely agree. I've not been on the edge of my seat like that in a long time. Brilliant episode.

For me that episode show how important big long standing characters are in a soap, that's what made it so heart pounding! Watching Nick and Phil go head to head, Roxy and Ronnie in the car, then Phil and Roxy reactions at the hospital.
I was watching these characters all night even though I like Emma and really hope she wouldn't die, once it was a possibility that Ronnie could have died I couldn't have cared less about her fate! And in the hospital scenes I ignored Charlie and focused on Phil and Roxy. This post probably doesn't make much sense but what I mean is that the episode was so much better than the whole Carter christmas eps because we have been involved in these characters lives for years! It showed how important they are, having the Denise and Kim scenes were also great! Sidenote: How amazing was Rita Simons tonight, stole the show for me, she really is due a good storyline of her own! |

My nerves werent the better of ut, but what an utterly compelling hour of soap. |

Watching that episode made me think back to when EE was the only unmissable soap. What a way to kick off 2015.

I did feel I had skipped back to 2010. EE has been great recently, but generally I now watch it while I'm texting, or doing something else. Last night I was absolutely on the edge of my seat; the show comlletely gripped me!
