Porting issue

My number ported from 3 to EE on the 30/12. At about 8am my 3 sim de-registered from the network so I placed my EE sim in and turned on. Since then if anyone calls my number they just get a busy time (ported number that is). I have tried EE on about 5 occasions now and just get told that it's due to the number of ports over Christmas. Has anyone else experienced this? Are they pulling the wool over me? Or do you have any advice how I could go about sorting this.

I have rebooted countless times and have tried leaving it off over night. If I call or text from the phone it displays the temporary number EE gave me.

To confirm there must be a delay, I put a request in on the 30th, got told it won't be done until today, Friday night.

They said I will get a text when it starts.

I ported in to EE on the 30th from Three, the port was completed at 6am except for people on Three who couldn't get through until about 12:30-1pm, they just got a ringing tone until Three eventually killed my old Three sim (the three sim still showed a signal but all call and texts were terminating correctly on EE and outgoing calls/texts presented the ported number). Only when the Three sim eventually went off did I start getting calls and texts from Three customers.

I've tried ringing it from about 3 different phones and a landline and it's the same just a busy tone
