Shouldn't be as Three and EE use the same masts for 3G. EE have 2G and 4G separately. It could be local EE fault that doesn't affect Three kit.
Using my free 100GB EE sim I notice I get much better speeds on Three 3G compared to EE but on the nearest mast which has both EE4G and Three 4G enabled EE wins. |

Stick with Three and AYCE.
4G or not, a little faster or slower, what's the issue eh.... You will simply not find that on EE at your current or a much higher price.... No need for me to use anyone else at present. |

Well, I wouldn't go with either, due to experance. I had a 6 month court battle with EE who's website have full coverage at my home address. I couldn't even send a text, I tried Three, got signal for about 20 mins, 10 mins no sig, back for a bit, calls dropping the works, the have less 4g coverage as well. The best I've found to be Vodafone.

Vodafone are bloody awful for data in rural areas, it has to be EE or one of their sharing networks I'm afraid.

However I'm surprised at the 3G differences using your Dan&Phil SIM. In three locations in the UK I found Three to give only 1.0 to 1.5mbps - and my EE contract, and my EE Dan&Phil were able to deliver 6mbps or more. 4G in two locations was over 30mbps on EE and only one location had Three 4G which maxed out at 18mbps. |

These are the ones I thought you meant, you could still get charged for these on Three, most of the others can be barred by most networks (but none will give a guarantee you still won't get charged).

Like I said I've never had an issue in 2+ year with these on Three despite porting my number from providers that I encountered scam charges. Does EE offer a similar facility to Three's zero spend cap ? If so a link would be good as this is all I could find - http://ee.co.uk/help/safety-and-secu...unwanted-calls

Although after what happened on Three I am not sure I ever want to browse the net again using a mobile service provider... |
