Moto G 4G
I see this highly rated midprice model is on sale at Tesco for £115. It's also on sale at 3 for £130, and I had a sim only contract with them last time before my phone was lost. How much would it cost to unlock a tesco phone and switch it to 3, which would give me all you can eat data?

Might be worth hanging on for a little while. The 2nd generation Moto 4g is out soon. This will have a larger screen.

Back in November, a new phone was tested. I was hoping that this was the new G 4G, not the Brazilian model. Maybe one that would do 4G in the US and here. I like the existing model and most of the bugs have already been ironed out.

If you're a new Tesco Direct customer (
), you can get an extra £10 off with a code, making it £105.

You would need the IMEI number from the phone to enable the unlocker to generate the unlocking code from Motorola. So not straight away but soon. If you have any Tesco vouchers, you can use them as well to bring the price down.
Just waiting to see the differences of the new 4G Moto LTE 2015 and this one. |

Google announced Moto G 4G 2014 going straight to Lollipop 5.1, bypassing 5.02.

![]() Good news as 5.1 sounds a lot better, but lets hope we get something before the end of the year

5.1 enabled VoLTE on the N5 and N6 so I would expect Motorola to consider including it as well, even if they aren't part of Google anymore it would be pretty silly to remove a future proofing technology.

5.1 did not enable VoLTE on the nexus 5, and only American nexus 6's have VoLTE. I think it is fairly likely that the moto g 4G won't come with VoLTE.

Wait I see a VoLTE provisioned flag in carrier settings on my N5 now. I thought that meant that at least the capability was there. Sorry for the bad info if not.
American nexus 6's have a further menu which allows them to toggle enhanced 4G LTE mode which just turns on/off VoLTE. |

I'm using one in my Moto G 4G, have had no problems with it.
Still hoping for VoLTE but with Android you never know. http://i.imgur.com/bnlL0fP.jpg (Yes, it was on TV yesterday).
