The New Years Day episode (along with some scenes in the last year) for me, has reinvigorated the magic of the Mitchell Sisters and I feel like Ronnie and Roxy have truly been saved. I believe in them again. For a while Roxy's character had been floating in limbo, but because her character for the most part is pretty innocuous, I didn't mind. I'd even forgotten Rita Simons could actually act, but now I'm a fan again. Ronnie is a great character and always has been, but I did feel like this new darker side would hurt the R&R dynamic and push Roxy out, but I'm glad to see Ronnie's iciness perfectly counterpoising her sister's fieriness.

I think The Mitchell Sisters are back! Do you?

I love Roxy and Ronnie. Last nights episode proved that no matter how many Carter secrets come crawling out of the woodwork that Shirley can be vile over, the Mitchells still run things

I prefer them now more than I ever have before, I used to hate them both tbh.

I like how their roles have changed over time. When they first arrived Ronnie was the more stable sister and Roxy was the one who was wild, into drugs, sleeping around and quite unstable. Ronnie was the one who kept them together, she was always the more sensible straight laced one. Now though Ronnie has become more unstable, committing murders is nothing to her these days. She has become so manipulative and on edge. Rory on the other hand has calmed down a lot more since she has had Amy, she is becoming the voice of reason for the Mitchell family. She is there for her family when they need it the most.

Here here! Including Phil!!

They've put him up against some his own size. He's gone through a sea of emotions. And I've even been tricked into eating up this Mitchell Cotton rivalry, that seems to have descended from the ether.

I love Ronnie. Until last night I wasn't sure about Roxy. Crap mother, lets men treat her like shit, typical stereotype vacuous blonde.

But Oh My God last night she was amazing. Really bloody awesome.

And yet it Was still Roxy driving like she thought she was a rally Driver.

Agreed. It's weird how nobody's acting was off-par. Everyone was on it like a bonnet.

I love them both, and always have done. It'll be their 8 year anniversary this year.

All I hope is that they will be with EE for a long while yet!

Who's said no? A rarity. I'd be interested to hear from those who don't like the sisters

The Mitchell's will always run things, and EastEnders would be nothing without them!

I guess the fact I hoped the car blew up with Ronnie and Phil in it, most probably says what I think about the Mitchells. I find both of them tedious with their 'grrr we're hard' ways. Ronnie seems to spend most her time going round with a face on and planning to kill various people, I don't actually mind Roxy, but she is the only Mitchell I can bare. Don't like Ben either, there doesn't seem anything likable about his character. So at a push I'm ok with Roxy, but the rest including Ronnie, I'd be happy not to see again!

I think Veronica and Roxanne should be given their own spin-off where we see them at their other "home" in Ibiza
Bet they get up to all mischievous shenanigans !

Roxy has had a poor couple of years and needs a big storyline.

I've always loved both characters, actresses and their on screen relationship. As far as soap siblings go, I think Ronnie and Roxy are up there with the best. I'd be included to put both actresses up for On screen Partnership at this years BSA's!

I said No. I preferred them in the beginning when they were a bit more fun. I can't stand Ronnie because she just thinks she's such a force to be reckoned with, yet as soon as things go wrong she runs to Phil and starts all this "family" stuff expecting him to bail her out.
Roxy isn't so bad, particularly liked her with Alfie with her in the Vic, but where on Earth is Amy? We hardly see her, I'm a single mum and very rarely get free time but Roxy seems to always have free time, don't think it's very true to life at all.

I see where you're coming from.

I definitely see your point with Roxy and Amy! I've always though Amy should be kidnapped to teach Roxy a lesson!

I think she has gone missing once or twice, and didn't she almost drown when Ben babysat her? That's what makes it worse, I'm rarely without my child (except during school time) and certainly if he'd gone missing and almost drowned at some point I'd be even more clingy

Murderer Ronnie going around spouting nonsense about needing to kill someone is saving the character and making her believable? This is the ridiculous gangster element so many people turned off from in the past. At least they were actual gangsters though.
