EastEnders! *Stars of the Week*
Great week we've had. It'd be a crime if we couldn't celebrate some of the actors.
Pick at least 5 characters who you think were the stars of the week and they results will be collated and presented in next week's thread! Last time those who voted on the Stars of the Week thread thought that Ian Beale gave the best performance, he won by 27 votes and the runners up were.... - 2nd Place - Peter Beale - 25 Votes 3rd Place - Jane Beale - 21 Votes 4th Place - Lauren Branning - 15 Votes 5th Place - Denise Fox - 10 Votes Which scenes and storylines entertained you the most this week and which actors and characters made them the most enjoyable? GO!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() PS: (Commenting helps bump the thread up and gives others a chance to vote) |

Emma & Roxy really stood out this week.
I'm gutted that Emma didn't get a decent send-off. I thought the character was really getting somewhere and I hate it when people die unhappily. Bit too Hollyoaks for me. Roxy during and after the car crash was brilliant. The shock on her face when she realised the brakes weren't working was harrowing! |

I voted for the Mitchells, Cottons, Foxes and a couple Carters.
Phil, Roxy, Ronnie were outstanding. Ben shone in his scene at the pub. The Cottons are coming together beautifully. I love how Denise can balance comedy and tragedy. Kim also proved she can too. Stan and Sylvie are gold! Their scenes on Monday were just great. Stan and Cora are also cute too. I think Dexter showed a glimmer of potential in his last scenes, which is a shame. A week to remember methinks. |

Phil, Roxy, Ronnie, Emma and Denise.
The three Mitchells shined. Emma really hit her stride this week and I'm going to miss the character. Denise was incredible and opens the door for a pretty good 2015. |

Denise, Roxy, Phil, Ronnie, Mick, Linda, Stan, Sylvie, Shirley. TBH I don't think there was one poor performance this week.

I thought Phil, Roxy, and to a slightly lesser extent Max, dominated the New Year's Day drama. The reveal of the suspects and build up to Emma's death was terrible.
Even though it's a total personality change, I was also gripped by Denise, Patrick and Kim. Kim's return episode was awful but she is already showing depth. |

Phil, Roxy, Emma, Denise and Kim......Kim is a much better character when she is given serious storylines imo. She is someone I never have never been a fan of, but this week she was amazing.

I would go for Roxy, Emma, Phil, Kim and Denise, in that order. I accidentally didn't click Phil on the poll though, hopefully that can be fixed?
Saying that, in tribute to his inspired character and performance, can we give the award to the sadly departing Dexter for his outstanding work on the show? |

Dumberhayes was just ... just ... a heap of adjectives I've run out of. Alright actress, but I'm glad the character is dead. Shouldn't have been made a regular and and shouldn't have had so much screen time.I had a good old grin at that pale white corpse. ![]() I hope this means we'll get to see Henry and Margot again. Love them.

Personally, I thought she was great and I found it hilarious how much of an idiot she was at times.

Denise, Ronnie, Roxy, Max, and a vote for Emma as it was her final appearance.
I think have always thought Denise (Diane Parish) is a highly under rated actress. |

On the whole, the team have done a good job. Stand-out performers I thought were Phil, Roxy, Ronnie, Emma, Max, Charlie and Nick

Just bumping!
![]() This week was the best week Eastenders have had for a long time! It's annoying that they killed Emma off as Anna Action is a good actress, maybe they could have just put her in a coma until after the Lucy reveal as a way of keeping the character on? Also hats off to Rita Simons, Steve Mcfadden and Diane Parish |
