BBC Sound of 2015
Just wondering what people thought of the long list
http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/prof...J/the-longlist My personal favorites are Wolf Alice https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z71df68qLp0 and Slaves https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4vOVfdTjdNY I think the top 5 are revealed in reverse order starting tomorrow. |

I'm fully expecting James Bay to win this. If the Brit Awards have already awarded him the Critics' Choice Award then I suspect they've already heard tracks from his debut album. I quite like Hold Back The River but get the impression it's just been used a buzz single and perhaps a bigger hit is forthcoming.
That said, my pick of the bunch is Kwabs. I've heard Walk due its success in central Europe and it's a great track imo. If it gets re-released, I can see this becoming a big hit with radio support. |

The BBC are doing it all back to front nowadays, instead of being the ones to bring hits like this to its audience, they seem to be following trending songs and are jumping on them 6 months too late and then overplay said song, once people have already become bored with it.

What are people thinking of the placings so far? 5th was George the Poet and 4th was Raury.
I felt George absolutely deserved his placing - really breaking through the boundaries of rap music. Plus, his nomination for the Critic's Choice Award must have helped. Raury, however, is pretty bland for me at the moment. I don't get him. God's Whisper is decent, but apart from that, his material is doing nothing for me at the moment. In terms of who I want to get the top 3: 3rd Shamir, 2nd Years & Years, 1st Rae Morris Who do I THINK will get it: 3rd Wolf Alice, 2nd Years & Years, 1st James Bay. ALTHOUGH I think Slaves, Shamir and Laplsey could get in there too. What do other people think, in terms of who they want and who they think? |

I'm into Raury, Shamir and Wolf Alice so far. Kwabs is good too. James Bay I like well enough although he reminds me of several other people for some reason. Love Shura as well.
