Apart from be a total bit part player?

She hasn't had a storyline since be became addicted to painkillers and her best friend fell in love with her, standard life stuff innit?

All the other stuff, to my knowledge, that was before that was her being in-between Paddy and Marlon (hopefully never literally. *shivers*)

Do people like Rhona? Personally, I find her so boring. She's such a ordinary character although they are very much needed in soaps but the actress is excellent and has given me the feels more than once and no, that's not a euphemism.

She was actually very good in the drugs storyline but I still hated the storyline as it meant too much Marlon and Paddy. I'm happy for her to sit in the background.

I'm sure I've spotted her in the background of a few scenes, horse tranquilliser hanging out her arm while she's snorting a few crushed co-codamol.

She's a good actress, which she showed with the addiction plot, but oh god, Rhona is nosy. She just always seems like she's sticking her hooter into other people's business. It's tedious.

The last reasonably big stuff she had to do was when she found out Donna was ill. It's a shame we don't ever see her do any actual vetting - it feels like she's just there to be sidekick to Paddy and/or Laurel at the moment. Surely there must be something they could do with her. It's also a shame they didn't keep more awkwardness between her and Vanessa really. It's like none of it ever happened, which seems to be a common problem with soaps now.

I find her really annoying, wouldn't mind if she left and took that awful best friend of hers with her

With her new hairdo Rhona looked really pretty on New Year's Day. So maybe they do plan a happy surprise for her soon?

I hope not. I have an unreasoning dislike of her.

There doesn't seem to be anything for her to do now. Same with Paddy who just has scenes with Marlon that are supposed to be funny but aren't. I think it's about time they sold their share of the vets leaving Vanessa to find a new vet to co run it with her. I don't know what's happening with the sls for the little boy as I think the little actor died. Marlon might object as he did before when they were going to go to New Zealand but if they say only go to Leeds they won't be that far away and it might be for the best.

Hopefully an exit storyline. One where her and Paddy decide to move far, far away from Emmerdale and never come back. Or alternatively one where she kills Paddy and gets some sort of award for services to soap viewers for doing so. She is not a bad actress but the character irritates me. Although to be fair that probably has a lot to do with pain in the backside Paddy being in so many of her scenes.

I think the child dying might be a reason as to why they've been quiet. Out of respect (I imagine), they didn't replace the child straight away; it would've been difficult to find excuses for his absence if Paddy/Rhona had a big story. However, I noticed Leo was in the Christmas episode - he was shown (very briefly) in the living room with April and Arthur, so they've obviously cast someone to play him again now, so maybe we'll start to see more of Paddy and Rhona again.

Although, I'm sure I remember reading that Cain and Rhona have never shared a scene together because Jeff and Zoe don't work at the same time - one is always at home to look after the kids. With Cain's upcoming/ongoing storyline, I doubt Rhona will be at the forefront of the show again any time soon...

I loathe the character of lesbian/staight/bi/child snatcher/village goat abuser Vanessa. I wish she had left after the drugs storyline and left Paddy and Rhona running the vets, with occasional locums..

Why don't they actually have some vet related storylines like back in the old days?

Then they could actually have a storyline where they don't cram themselves into other peoples problems

I'm interested but what is a vet related storyline? Can you give me a couple of examples? I'm not taking the pee.

Wouldn't like her to be the vet administering to any animals that I may have!
She is one "bit part" actress.

I've always found it a bit worrying that that vets' has animal recognition charts on their walls. Wouldn't you expect a qualified vet to know what a horse looked like?

I'm not a fan of Rhona. She really rubbed me the wrong way when she basically forced Paddy to kick Aaron out of his house, after that I had no love for the women. I'd really like to see them get Paddy away from Rhona she treats him terrible and I find it funny that everyone always complains about how Michelle treats Steve on Corrie, but Rhona is just as bad, but at least with Michelle I get why he stays with her she's hot. The same can't be said for Rhona. I'd really like them to put Paddy back with Chas, those two and Aaron make a great family unit.

They are not actually qualified vets. That's why

I thought Zoe was fantastic during the pain killer addiction storyline. I really enjoyed watching her acting serious for once. Any other time when she's doing her sing song dippy happy voice thing & bossing people around, I just switch off.

I also loathed her after she was perfectly happy (and thought it perfectly reasonable) to take Leo to the other side of the world - away from his dad, Marlon. She wouldn't have stood for the other way around. She actually got angry at him for kicking up a fuss about it! That really, really wound me up .

Kate Oates never mentioned up coming storylines for Paddy & Rhona though. Although I'm guessing Paddy will have a part to play in the Aaron/Robert thing.

Every soap character goes through a 'lull' I guess.. the thing about Rhona for me is that while I don't really dislike her I cant understand why they brought her in in the first place

Probably because Jeff was like "Can ya's give me wife a part?".....

Or something like that. I bet it helps having a husband who's one of if not the most popular character.

Animals, in a soap about a farming community, jackKlugman; that would be a concept way beyond the imagination of this producer.

There is a scene on You Tube of Rhona & Cain together but it was years ago.

Were they together in real life at that point?

Dunno, if they had them before, the producer could just recycle them like he's done with everything else.
