How would you feel if the BBC decided to give Bryan Kirkwood a second chance?
A second chance to be Executive Producer of EastEnders just as Lime Pictures gave him a second run as Executive Producer of Hollyoaks?
What if they decided to emphasise the positives of his era at EastEnders and bring him back to furthur rejuvenate the show? |

I'm not sure about EP but I'm sure he could give the bogs at Elstree a good once over.

That would be an incredibly stupid and unlikely move.

I would personally lead an army of Orcs to storm the BBC headquarters and throw Kirkwood back into the fiery chasm from whence he came.

HO itself needs a better EP. Kirkwood WAS great for Oaks during is initial run but his so hit and miss now with the campy plots, and short attention spans. I do enjoy it but it could be much better. Certain things just get dragged out too long (e.g. Maxine/Patrick). I stopped watching EE during the middle of his time as EP. Him and Newman are two names who need to be consigned to the dustbin of the show's history.
I started watching from Matthew Robinson's stint. Him, Yorke and Santer were the brains behind some truly golden ages for the soap. Berridge, Hutchinson and Harwood all did admirable jobs too IMO. It's a relief that DTC is working miracles for the show getting it back to its past glory. Bryan Kirkwood would've been good working on the set of sitcoms like Gimme Gimme Gimme back in the day (which I was a massive fan of) but soaps ain't his thing. |

Not many people seem keen to let EastEnders be Bryan Kirkwoods toy again!

![]() ![]() Poor Rita, Emily and Ken would all be killed off within a week by serial killer baby Ruth! Wild child Beth would take centre stage of the show... Gail would probably end up a serial killer or something! ![]() I can just imagine it!

Yeah, as if! The BBC will never let BK back near the mothership. The negative publicity alone would send them into a catatonic state. |
