I stopped bothering about artwork on music when I stopped buying vinyl.
As for the tracks, the usual chart crap from the last few weeks plus a few not yet released.

Unfortunately due the these new streaming rules, songs are hanging around in the charts for stupid amounts of time. I can't think of that many current hits that weren't actually on 89.

It won't be out until the end of March/early April, so there'll be plenty to put on there by then. I do agree that streaming is slowing the charts right down.

Yes...and in big numbers too. As of yesterday, Now 89's sales are 997,510, so will be sure to pass the million mark today.

Previous million sellers for the main series of Now since 2010 are:

NOW 86 1,303,972
NOW 83 1,532,211
NOW 80 1,355,680
NOW 77 1,384,684

Sales Source: Music week via Buzzjack.

I'm sure the ones that haven't sold a million are not too far away.

I don't know but I hope Taylor Swift's Shake It Off is on it.

I agree. They need to remove streaming from the charts. Poor George Ezra would have had five weeks in the top 40 under the old chart rules

"Listen To The Man" has no chance. Not while it's being kept out the top 40 by streaming. You forgot Mark Ronson - "Uptown Funk" and Tchami - "Promesses"

Blonde featuring Melissa Steel - "I Loved You"
Calvin Harris featuring Ellie Goulding - "Outside"
Cheryl Cole - "I Don't Care"
David Guetta featuring Sam Martin - "Dangerous"
DJ Fresh featuring Ella Eyre - "Gravity"
Ed Sheeran - "Thinking Out Loud"
Ella Henderson - "Yours"
Fergie - "LA Love (La La)"
Fuse ODG featuring Killbeatz - "Thinking About U"
Hannah Wants & Chris Lorenzo - "Rhymes"
Labrinth - "Jealous"
Mark Ronson featuring Bruno Mars - "Uptown Funk"
Meghan Trainor - "Lips Are Movin"
Oliver Heldens featuring KStewart - "Last All Night (Koala)"
Olly Murs featuring Demi Lovato - "Up"

Yeah actually I stand corrected. There are quite a few songs here. Plus i'm hoping Gorgon City/Jennifer Hudson make an appearence. I LOVE that song!

I'm still not enjoying these slow moving charts though

I am shocked that "Go All Night" only lasted a week in the top 40, despite strong AirPlay from Capital and BBC Radio 1. I also agree about the streaming. It needs to be removed from the singles chart

I guess the reason why you thought there weren't any hits recently is purely because once they enter, they plummet down the chart.

If this is the case, when the track list for Now! 90 is revealed, I imagine people thinking "wtf, i can't remember that song". A good example being Oliver Helden's latest "hit". Really forgettable imo compared to Gecko (Overdrive).

There should be some new hits on the horizon, and between now and early April we might've had a few surprise releases from Adele, Rihanna and Britney Spears which may also be included.

What I don't like is when a new Now album is released and the majority of songs have been around for a while. For me, it makes the album look stale so I hope they include tracks that are going to be doing well in the charts around the time of its release. That way, the album will still seem fresh.

The thing I have about the Now series, as popular as it is, the target market is for the younger generation but its hardly modern having something called Now 90. I wonder if there will be some Music exec without a clue who will decide one day to call it along the lines of Now Spring 2014 and Now Summer 2014 and so on

I want to know why the artwork is so unimaginative these days. They seem to only have 3 colour schemes that rotate. The 90s ones were far more diverse.

More possibilities

Charli XCX featuring Rita Ora - "Doing It"
Echosmith - "Cool Kids"
Ellie Goulding - "Love Me Like You Do"
Sia featuring The Weeknd & Diplo - "Elastic Heart"

If you think they're unimaginative now, go and compare the covers for 48 and 50, both of which were released in 2001.

The covers do need a bit of kick up the Now ar$e! They have kept a similar template since Now 56 with the exception of Now 59 and Now 86 which were both Christmas releases.

Although the winner is the actual Now logo itself which has been with us since Now 20 way back in 1991.

It would be nice if the CD edition makes it but its another 3 years away and will the CD format last until then. Maybe so with the likes of compilation CD's with the sales Now gets

I love the cover template and hope that never changes, but I wish they would mix up the colours a bit. The numbers are pretty much always either red, yellow or white. I prefer the more unusual ones like 80 (purple) or 70 (blue).

Not sure what you have been reading, but Cds are going nowhere anytime soon. They still make up a very large percentage of album sales.
