Just wondering if all Three phones are unlocked out of the box, or do you have to request an unlock code from Three? I am a Three sim only customer and may be getting a second hand Note 4, originally on Three so wanted to know this info If I have to request an unlock can this only be done by the original customer?

You may well be able to get it unlocked at three free as it will be your phone now.

If you're on Three anyway and the phone is already on Three it shouldn't matter if it's unlocked or not.

The answer is very easy to find on Three's website.

All phones they've provided since 1 January 2014 have been unlocked.

Putting a Three SIM in a Three phone should only be a problem if the SIM is the wrong physical size for the phone. The phone being locked or not should not be any problem.

Hi. Thanks for the info all. I did look on their web site but couldnt see the info. The reason why I wanted the option to unlock it 'officially' is because I might not be on Three in 2-3 months from now
