How can I afford a spray tan every week?
I wear fake tan but honestly I'm getting sick of wearing the self tan/cream ones
TBH it's becoming such effort to have to self tan every morning, and some days I will miss parts or apply too much etc etc I just feel so much better whenever I get spray tans but I can't afford to get one EVERY week I did have a job in a bar but with A Levels coming up and all my mocks and stuff I had to quit as it was too time consuming and I'm worried another job will be too time consuming aswell |

FFS lad, step away from the mirror for a second! Your vanity seems like the only thing that's time consuming in your life. This is the third thread you've started on the subject!
Stop concentrating so much on your appearance - grooming, fake tanning, teeth whitening and the rest of the nonsense - and start revising! You sound incredibly high maintenance - whilst I realise that I now sound like my dad! 🙈 Seriously, you really wear BB cream....?

Men are soon going to become the self-absorbed, appearance orientated neurotics that women are. It is fine to look after your appearance but really?

Perhaps if you spent less time applying fake tan, BB cream etc every day, you'd have more time to spend studying or even working a few hours a week?
I've never had a spray tan myself, but surely if you had one every week you'd look as though you'd been tangoed?! |

You get the general point of the message though... everybody seems to be telling you to worry less about how you look. There are far more important and enjoyable things in life than personal grooming. My personal idea of hell is applying tanning lotion after every bath / shower, because I inevitably spent ages trying to get it even and scrubbing off the patchy bits afterwards. I embrace my china white complexion and get on with life instead. Life is too short to spend exfoliating your knees.
![]() I don't do it to feel superior to others and it's not as if I look down on those who don't make as much effort as me I enjoy looking after myself and that's just the way I am Personally I feel underwhelmed if I don't make all the effort I do If others are happy being a little more low maintenance then that's fine, however I just prefer doing what I do |

In this weather surely you'd only have to do your face and the backs of your hands.

Do a google search for fake bake club or similar where a salon offers unltd spray tans for x£ per month. I had one a while back and used to get one once a week and I'm telling you it wears off well before the next tan so u do not end up orange.

Oh for god sake, he likes taking care of himself and wants a spray tan. What's the big deal?
Nobody needs a spray tan every week (unless you want to look like Morph) But I'm not a member of the vain club, so what do I know about looking trendy? Perhaps the terracotta look is au courrant, it's perfectly normal to want to look like Rylan or whatever his name is, and I should just shut up and let you get on with grooming yourselves. |

If you want to look groomed that's up to you. Personally I don't think you need to be tanned in winter though. I would NOT recommend just doing your face and backs of hands like someone suggested. If you go to a particularly warm club / pub or meet someone you want to sleep with you'll look silly when you are down to a t-shirt....

Good point. Do you need a spray tan every week? Surely it lasts around 10 to 14 days? If you add up how much you spend on self tan and compare to a spray tan you might be surprised. Have you signed up for Wowcher? Do they do reduced spray tans in your area?

![]() ![]() Save up the money you'd spend in paint shops and buy a cheap plane ticket to somewhere hot. Voila!...real tan! (Obviously not recommended due to skin cancer, wrinkles, white bits etc etc) |

Just having a read about these spray tans.... and it tells of how inhaling the mist can be harmful, and also harmful to the eyes.... now why doesnt it explain that the actual chemicals in the spray goes on the skin then is ingested into the body and bloodstream... why isnt this also being addressed...

I think the OP would probably curl up and die of embarrassment if someone was to save this thread and show it to him in twenty years' time

Because having an all-over, mahogany tan in Britain, in January never looks silly does it?
