That's Oxford
Already mentioned in the Solent thread - but I think best to have its own thread.
Animated caption tests for That's Oxford are now available on channel 8. |

7 days to go before the 'must launch' date - but still nothing more than the animated caption.
Was hoping for at least a short promo. Nothing on the official website - which still lists the on-air Solent channel as "coming soon". |

There were no promos on That's Solent before launch. Just a 30 second ident on a loop. Looks like they are being consistent!

A slight developement - maybe
For the past couple of weeks both out Freeview boxes have displayed up to 8 days worth of 'That's Oxford Test Transmission' in the guide. Yesterday after the 28th updated for all the other channels - ch008 says up 'No information' available. Today all the other channels have updated for 29th - but ch008 has not. So hopefully something will happen on 28th which is their must launch or else date. |

You'd have thought that there'd be something about That's Oxford in the local press, but so far I've seen absolutely nothing.
So will they actually launch? |

A slight change - the guide data has now been extended to be a repeat 'Thst's Oxford Test Transmissions' up to and including 3rd February.
Let's see what tomorrow brings |

I see that the L-DTPS licence for That's Oxford has been further amended to extend the "must launch" date to 26 March 2015.
It was originally 5 November 2014 before it was amended/extended to today's date. Now it has been given a further two months to launch. Bodes well doesn't it ![]() PS Your TV Manchester has a current "must launch" date of next Wednesday 4 February but hasn't even been granted a L-DTPS licence yet so looking unlikely that will happen either. |

Hardly worth giving a channel a must launch date then.

Wasn't the original launch date supposed to be 'in the first half of 2014'?
Then it became Autumn 2014 Then 'early December' 2014 Then 28 January 2015 Now it's 26 March 2015....... ![]() According to Ofcom 'All L-DTPSs must begin broadcasting within two years of licence award otherwise Ofcom may re-advertise the licence.' The licence was awarded on 6 Nov 2012 - which surely means that the licence could well now be re-advertised? |

Well - the Freeview EPG switches from "That's Oxford Test Transmission" to "no information" on 27 March.
I wonder if there will be anything this time around? |

It would be nice if they could have a selection of these local programmes put on the iPlayer so you could watch them outside the region (or in some cases what is actually your own region)

Licence has been amended to 17th April.2015 for "commencement date" - perhaps they should have left the year blank

Why complain about the delay?
It keeps Esther off our screens for another month. Personally, I'd rather see "Jack TV" - where the radio plays the music, the tv would play the videos and local/national ads. As well as the "digital jockey" by Paul Darrow. Breakfast TV from the "Dumpy Building" - not unlike the original BBC Scotland "Breakfast TV trial" way back in the 80s. |

After a few disastrous tech issues we are gearing up to launch on Friday... with a small but dedicated team we will be bringing local stories alive. They have been using Facebook since the middle of February. They have mentioned tech issues before (although these messages appear to have been deleted); they wouldn't be the only one if they were struggling to get a reliable connection through to Comux; other locals certainly have had this issue.
We are taking your feedback - so get in touch |

They announced the launch this week as today and earlier today they posted on Facebook "Tune in from 715pm."
Now 7.20pm and still the same animated image that has been there for 6 months. |

Indeed. There's nothing on the EPG after 7:00 tomorrow, not for the first time though ...

Running a little behind schedule - but we will be on tonight!!!
Given the licence stipulations, by 23:59:59, I assume?

Now there's yet another test card, displaying 'Back Soon'.....
And the That's TV website http://www.thatstv.com/ appears to have gone down.... |
